Golfer Reviews
Treat Yourself!
This Golf Course was everything I wanted, in perfect condition Tee to Green. The staff is non-intrusive, proffesional, and accomidating. A quiet prestine course with soft, fast greens that roll true.
Outstanding course
I have played The Ridge several times in the past however this is the first time that the emphasis was on playing on schedule. We were advised, prior to tee off, that we were expected to play the course in less than four and one half hours and that marshals were on each nine to assure we stayed on schedule. We were never pressed but marshals did contact numerous times, on the course, to ask if we needed anything and determine if we had any problems. The course was in outstanding condition and we ended up playing the course in less that four and one half hours . A very enjoyable experience.
Better hit 'em straight!
Seriously impressive course. If you don't spray the ball (like me) then you're gonna enjoy this course a lot more. I didn't play great but still had an amazing time. The course is absolutely beautiful. Only negative on the round was that from hole 4 on the course was super backed up.
Never gets old
Have played here many times. Every time am impressed by the unique layout. Each hole a little different and has its own personality. Layout makes you feel like you have the course to yoursefl even on busy days. Overall conditions excellent and greens immaaculate. Highly recommend.
Would play it again for the right price
I got a price break from golfnow which persuaded me to play this course. I don't like to spend more than $60 for a round unless the course is special and I don't consider The Ridge special. Unfortunately when I checked in they told me there was a 45 minute frost delay and that I should of gotten a email alert, but I hadn't. I was on a little bit of a time crunch so that started things off on a sour note. It did give me plenty of time to hit the range which was included in the golfnow deal, but when I got up to the range a few guys told me there were no balls for us. After 10 minutes or so I walked all the way to the end of the second tier and got a bucket. Once the starter got the rest of my foursome we were 10 minutes behind. Other than the poor start, the course was nice and played quickly, but I had to bail 5 holes early due to my time issues. I would play it again if the price was right.
Beautiful and Challenging
My first time and I will be back! Pretty tight and pretty challenging.
Great course
Course was in great condition.. Greens were a little bumpy on the back nine and a couple of greens were much slower on the back compared to the rest.
Great course in southern metro
Great course in the southern metro; pace of play was tough behind a slow handful of groups, left several of us on the course to finish after dark.
Very, Very Nice
I'm somewhat new to the game but this is easily the nicest course I've played so far. The greens where thick and smooth and it's one of the few places I've played where my ball seemed to roll true. Really cool elevation changes throughout the course with trees and water sprinkled throughout. My only real criticism is the price, even playing twilight hours and with a golfnow deal it still cost me $50 for the round. If I was better at the game and wealthier I might not mind the price but for now it's a one-time splurge on a very nice course.
NICE COURSE
The day we playyed we did not see a ranger so the pace of play was really slow. We waited about 10 minutes on each hole. Other than that the course is really nice
Spectacular but...
Course is spectacular. Staff is friendly. 19th hole is great! GolfNow.com price fantastic.
I just wish that when you reserve, there could be some law that says you have to tell the golfer the greens have just been aerated before you finalize the reservation.
Of course this is not a situation unique to The Ridge At Castle Pines North, but to me, all golf courses that do not disclose this ahead of time are guilty of "golf-fraud"... a crime to golfing humanity!
Course is always in great shape. Play well here, play great everywhere.
Great course, practice facility is great. Good food as well.
5 Star course
The winding layout and the super challenging fairways makes this course one of the top 5 I have EVER played. The greens were impeccably maintained and fast, fast, fast which made putting feel like an undulating pool table!
Staff friendliness and a constantly cruising beverage cart made this early fall round a standout. Cannot wait to play there again.
Love this course!
The staff is fantastic. One of the more beautiful public courses in the state of Colorado. Tee boxes are like carpet and greens are still in great shape. The course has holes with many elevation changes from tee to green. Mostly open fairways, with only a few holes that require making the golf shot to the fairway. The greens are what will get you on this course, many surrounded by bunkers in the front and both sides. If you've ever heard "stay below the hole when putting", then this is essential. Greens are still very fast, and a 2 foot put can break 6 inches unless you jam it in the hole. Always book on Golf Now for the best rates for this course
Amazing look from the tee-boxs.
The Ridge at Castle Pines North was a fantastic outing. I was greeted immediately with a smile. The pro-shop was quick and helpful. The driving range was clean and organized. Five minutes before my tee time the starter came up to the range and let us know we were up in five, that was a fantastic touch that made it seem that this course was very focused on pace of play. The golf course itself was beautiful and conditions were pristine.
Wow! Conditions were immaculate!
Incredible course. Well maintained. Green were smooth and consistent.
Top 5 Denver Metro Golf Course!
I always try and be sure to make it out to The Ridge every summer for a round. I would place it in my top 5 courses to play around the Denver metro area. Terrain is some of the funnest... up/down, wooded w/ huge pine trees, every hole is different and unique and each is segragated, visually, from the rest of the golf course. Club house, food and practice facility are ALL top-notch!
Great course, need to bring your A game
A big person's course, will need to hit every club an well.
The ridge between good and great
At $59 a good value. At the normal $100+ daily fee, it is not worth it. Well maintained course. The pro shop staff was not friendly but the outside staff were super. Pace of play can suffer from long tee to green distances and even great distances from path to green.
