Back Nine in the foothills is spectacular
Great course! Starter Dick was very kind and knowledgable. Would definitely play again
Beautiful course but don't play after 3pm
Course is beautiful. Well set up but there isn't a Marshall after 3pm. I finished front 9 in a hour and 25 minutes, back thru 14 over 2 hours and couldn't finish due to darkness. I went to this course because I heard of how beautiful it was but didn't get to play the nicest hole on the course 18. Very disappointing. I believe if they had a Marshall it would have been fine. Plus, the money you pay to play course. They should have a Marshall!!! No excuse....
Dear u188327637,
Thanks for your review of our facility! I am happy to hear that your enjoyed the golf course, as well as the setup. We are happy to have such a great property!
As far as playing after 3pm, I will agree. We discount tee times or twilight times after 3pm as the chance of finishing 18 holes does go down. We will review our scheduling of a ranger in the later afternoon.
Thanks for your comments and have a great day!

Great layout
Course was in great shape and pace of play was pretty quick for a Saturday afternoon.
Adnrew3307674,
Thank you for your review! Please come see us again soon for your next round!

Unreal course
This course was my favorite to play in the Denver area. The views are unbelievable!!! The course itself is in pristine condition. The greens we're rolling an 11. The rough was thick and will challenge you. The elevation changes make this course a memorable experience. If you are in Denver and want to play a great round, play the Ridge! It was well worth the time and money.
Thank you for the great review! We are excited that you enjoyed your round of golf. Come see us again in the near future.
Safe travels!

Unfortunate the Mgmt doesn't spend money on the course
The Ridge at Castle Pines prides themselves as the best front range golf course in Colorado. Many, many a tournaments held here. All season, this year, the bunkers are the worst ever! To say they have rocks puts it mildly. Some have equal rocks to sand, looks more like road sand. Poor quality! Damages clubs! We were told the bunkers have no drainage and when it rains, often this year, they have to hose suck the water which also removes sand (any good sand left). A friend recently paid $150.00 a round and said the course quality was more like an unmaintained local course. What a shame too, the views are spectacular. Please, please, spend some of your income from overpriced players to maintain the bunkers/course to a quality facility. Also NEVER leave your clubs there while you go for a drink/food. Another friend had a collectable putter disappear.
Dear golfmel24,
Thank you for your concerns regarding your experience at the Ridge. We would love the opportunity to discuss these concerns over a coffee or lunch. I may be reached at 720.360.4352 to discuss further.
Have a great weekend!

Worth a go!
I honestly couldn't believe the standard of this course coming out of ski season... Awesome! The staff are always really polite and professional and although it's a pricey course, especially seeing as Colorado has an average of $40 ish and this place is $100 off peak and considerably more peak but it's worth it! Weekday rounds can be quick and really enjoyable! Long story short, definitely recommended with excellent fairways and fast/greens. Tip: Don't be tempted to always club up or down with the induration as I seemed to have minimal difference either way.
Great course and early season value
Course ws in fantastic shape for early April and for just having a recent snowstorm. Beautiful blue sky Colorado day paired well with every hole. Good test and got to play with nearly every club in the bag. Got a great value through GolfNow and will definitely be returning!
Winter Value worth the money
This course is beautiful. I can easily see why the course is a $100+ course during the spring/summer. The scenery alone was worth the round.
Since I played during the winter, the cart only rules were in place. Made for some major walking to the other side of the fairways to take shots, but it keeps the course in pristine condition, it's worth it.
Some of the greens were so hard from frost/ice that balls bounced like they were on concrete, other's were still recovering from the aeration punches. All the tee boxes were punched as well, and every tee; blue, silver, black - were all at the same location, again winter course preparations.
But no matter what your level of experience is, everyone (and I mean everyone) has to take a shot from the tips on 18. Your standing on a stone pillar no bigger than a dining room table, hitting over a stone gulley. Don't count the shot (unless it's a good one) but just experience would have been worth it.
Just arrogated greens
Greens were just aria red and cart path only on fairways made for a long day on course. Otherwise the round was fun
A nice day out from our regular course.
Our club is closed Mondays, so this was a one day 'vacation' for 6 of us.
We all enjoyed the course, and the 19th, a lot.
One slight negative was we played after the greens had been aerated. No biggie, but we weren't warned about this.
Slightly more significant is the bunkers are more dirt than sand. Perhaps this is because we were playing in late October.
I organized the day, and felt very satisfied that my group had a great time.
Pace of play
We were playing behind a slow foursome, but eventually passed them, and were able to complete 18 holes before dark.
Very nice course
Played on a Sunday, the weather did not look too good, sprinkled for two holes, then the beautiful CO sun came out.
Very nice practice area, range, putting greens, etc. The staff was super friendly. For this price, the carts could use GPS systems.
First few holes seemed pretty straightforward, then it gets a bit interesting if you have never played here before. There were some places that you were not sure where to hit to.
The back nine is very up and down, and some of the holes are quite tight with the trees. Make sure you check out the view from the black tees on 18.
I would definitely recommend this as a nice splurge. But a little pricey for me to play too often
A definite favorite!
Excellent! One of my favorites was again in great shape. Greens are fast and smooth. The layout is challenging and fun. I have yet to play a round which wasn't worth a little higher price! Play it and have fun and enjoy the views.
Great course
Great course. Awesome views. Not for the physically challenged. Areas around greens have a lot of slopes from cart path to green. For the player that has never played the course gps is a must as they do not provide hole descriptions. That said I will deffinately make a point of playing again next trip to Denver.
Great course!
Played this course for first time and absolutely loved it! I read some recent reviews that said the course wasn't in great shape but tees, fairways and greens were immaculate. Especially the greens! Soft but smooth as a pool table. Challenging course, lots of hills but no "gimmicky" holes like some of the courses in the foothills (read Fossil Trace, Fox Hollow...). I will play this course anytime I have the chance. A little pricy and I have to admit that some of the staff would have gotten more tips if they would have been trained to take care of the guests a little more, but no real complaints. Do it this season or you'll be one year older when you do.
at this price should have GPS
I was a little disappointed being a troon course. I expected better. I did like the course. It was not in great condition.
Nice course
Had a great time worth the experience. A course to get off your bucket list nicest one near the springs.
Ranger effort spotty at best
Beautifully maintained challenging course! 2 of last 5 times played ranger was a virtual no show resulting in a 5 hour round. Staff doesn't seem to even monitor this. Menu has been cut in half discouraging use of a wonderful spot.
Playing The Ridge
The golf course is just in fabulous shape. There is lots of terrain ....up and down with great shape to each of the holes. I would play it again in a heartbeat.
Fantastic Course
This is one of the best courses in the Denver area. Play it if you have a chance. The back 9 was pretty amazing. The greens were immaculate. A fantastic afternoon of golf.
