Nicest course in the area.
There was no marshal on either day that we played. First day could have used one. 4 some teed off over a half hour ahead of us. After we played one hole, a 2 some caught us. Let them play thru as a single approached. 3 holes later caught up with the couple and single who had joined up with a threesome and were following the 4 some who were now holding everyone up.
Fun to play for the average golfer.
What a beautiful course and an enjoyable golfing experience!
Nice stop on the way home
We stopped and played here after a few days at Bandon Dunes. I really enjoyed getting back to some grass I'm used to and a cart. This course was in great shape and we got a really good deal. Staff was very friendly. Very nice facility overall. It was a good way to end our trip.
Just a great day
Unhurried pace odf play yet we were done in less than four hours..
Keep it in the fairway if you want a flat stance
Great Course! staff friendly course well maintained
To windy would not play again !!!
I need to add one more comment about the cart fee at Sandpines Golf Course that was $20.00 per person, looks to me like they are trying to make up $ for the Golf Now Certificate. If they have to do that then maybe they need to do away the Golf Now Program!!!!
A Nice Day of Golf
For a Troon managed golf course, I was expecting a little more in the way of pristine condition, however, as a visitor, I have no idea what type of spring/summer weather may have contributed to those conditions. Greens were slow and fairways had sparse areas. I was also expecting more of an ocean and/or scenic view and there is none, with the exception of a couple of sand dunes. On the upside, it was a Tuesday, and we went around the course at a nice pace of play and no waiting to speak of - can't beat that.
To windy would not play again !!!
Course was in good condition, cart fee was over the top $$$$$$$ and not a course you would want to walk. We would not play this course again even if it was free as it is to windy and I understand it is like that most of the time.
When I made the statement the cart fee was over the top $$$$$$ We later found out they charge $20.00 for the cart fee if you are using a Golf Now Certificate, we had no idea what the regular cart fee was as we had never been there before. That additional fee for cart along with the wind is the main reason our group will not play this course again!!!
How much was the over the top cart fee? According to their website, a cart ranges from $10-$15. That's a long, long way from over the top.
Good course but does not live up to the past ratings.
This is a 3 1/2 star course not the 4 1/2 stars of the past. I don't mind paying $90 a round but not for a 3 1/2 star course.
windy like scotland
sand pines is an inland links course which if played in the afternoon is usually very windy like Scotland. If you like wind and a challenge then this is a great course. Early non windy tee times come with a substantial increase in price.
The course is challenging and really pretty the pace of play was excellent
I loved this course and the pace of play.it is a course that almost anyone can Play and have a fun time.
I'm going back to play again.
It's on one of my favorites list for courses on the coast to play
Great course but challenging with tough wind conditions.
This course has a great layout and course condition was good. More signage is required and a diagram of the hole at each teebox would be a huge asset. The winds added to the challenge as it was blowing and gusting big time!!! Overall this is a great course.
Fun links course on the Central Oregon Coast.
We always play a round at this course if we're around Florence or Yachats on the Oregon coast. Very interesting holes with about half of them in the dunes. It was a little windy the day we played but very few people were there and we charged through 18. Bar is not open on Mon & Tue which was a little bit of a bummer. Still lots of fun.
This course has great feature and its well maintained.
This has been one of the most beautiful courses I have ever played at. It can be a bit expensive, but its well worth the money to play. It was very windy the day i played which affect my playing comfort. I normally hit my driver 200 plus yard, but with the wind against me i was only hitting it 135 yards. When its not windy the course is one of the best course to play at. I would love to play it again.
The course was great
The course was great if you like gale force winds, very challenging with the wind. The course staff gouged us on the gold cart trying to make up for the lower prices golf now users get. They have a special price for golf now participants, so beware.
Nice course if you get good weather.
Pretty good layout, links style course. We got lucky there was no wind and it was about 70 degrees. The greens are in good shape. the golf now hot deal price was a bargain.
always one of my favorite courses, nice lay-out, great place to play anytime
Only drawback was for the first time, I was unable to rent a cart (which was susposed to be included) due to recent rain, (in their defense, cartpath is the fairway) but that was never a problem with the previous ownership. It was windy, and misty when I teed off, but got better as the round went on. I walked 18 in just over 3 hours. I would play there more often, but it is 130 miles from home now.
Great course. well kept and staff was very friendly.
Played in windy conditions [25mph] which made course more difficult than it should have been. Greens were excellent, fairways good, in other words a good bang for bucks
Very nice course
I like the feel of the course. Similar to some of the courses at Bandon, yet less cost. Challenging in many places, but fun. The staff in the pro shop were knowledgable, friendly & helpful. We stopped at Pub for lunch- one of best burgers I've ever had!
Will be back!
great course, outstanding value.
The course will challenge the best of players. I def. play again the next time I visit Oregon.
I'am glad that jsjughead can still walk 18 holes some of us old vets can not. None of us that day we played were happy when we found out they charge more for the cart fee if you are using a Golf Now certificate. If they need to charge more because of the Golf Now Certificate they need to at least say some thing up front so it does not leave a bad taste later. The regular cart fee as we later found out was $10 to $15 dollars we were charged $20 dollars each !!! HAPPY WALKING JUGHEAD !!!
Let's see: Oregon Coast & windy? Say it ain't so. Oh, and try walking! (From a 66-year-old who still finds walking healthy and fun.)
