Slow olay
Beautiful course. Played well except for the long delays on each hole. Group in front of our 4 some had fallen behind by at least two holes Had to wait on every hole. Ranger asked how we were doing and we suggested he get the foursome in front to skip a hole to speed up play. Wouldn't mind waiting on 1 or 2 holes but not every hole. Poor job by ranger. 5 hour round.

Always a feel good round.
It is always a pleasure to play this course. The front 9 is straight forward and a little flat, but has some fun holes. The back 9 has some great elevation change (for northern Illinois). I’m never unhappy leaving this course. It’s not the toughest test, but it’s never a disappointment. Always in solid shape, the staff are friendly and it’s just an all around comfortable place.

Bunkers need work
First time playing here and really enjoyed the layout and conditions with the exception of the bunkers. Seems like they all need work. If bunkers were in good shape this place would be a gem!

Nice Round
We enjoyed our visit to Phillips Park. The course was very busy, and we needed to wait a short time for a cart. The pro shop rep was very friendly and helpful. I thought the course was in nice shape, especially the greens. The greens weren’t lightning fast, but not slow either. Many of the traps looked like they had not been worked, but recently I’ve seen far worse. We played on a Sunday afternoon, so we should have expected it to be slow; it was a bit. Overall a great experience.

Played a full twilight round on a great evening. Course was in excellent condition. Shot my best round ever. Hole 3 still has the bench with my grandpa's name on it which brought back great memories.

Very Good course for average player
Relatively short course, 6200 yds, but cleverly designed to give enough challenges to an average golfer. Greens and Fairways well-maintained. Two suggestions: 1. Fix the damage on the practice green. 2. Put a tall net on the backside of the driving range to keep long drives from reaching the fairway of Hole #6.
