About
Tamarack Golf Club is a course that will test your shot-making skills yet it is still player-friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. Pete Dye designed the course with tight, sculpted fairways and undulating greens that come in a range of sizes. The layout offers plenty of challenges with water or sand coming into play on every hole. The golf course will test your accuracy but it is not as difficult as many other Dye designs. The third is one of the toughest holes. A severely undulating green protected by deep bunkers makes placement vitally important on this par 3. The 15th is one of the back nine's more challenging holes. It presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity with a myriad of teeing options. Water lines the entire right side and the two-tiered green is flanked with bunkers to the front and right.

Golfer Reviews
2nd Time playing this course
This was my 2nd time playing Tamarack and I really like this course. The sand traps were bear and there was a few fairways that needed some love but other than that it was a great outing with my friends.
Oh and the staff was nice.
Embarrassing
It’s clear that Arcis and management clearly do not care for this facility, but took the time to glam it up on the website. When playing the course, it is a literal goat track with deteriorated tee boxes, frequent bare spots in fairways, atrocious bunkers, and repugnant greens. The club house is a mess and outside of the friendly staff, this place is a dump. Charging $65+ during the weekend is criminal and I will not be back. Really disappointing given the surrounding neighborhood and Naperville area is really nice. Golfers deserve better.
Terrible condition but playable
The fairways throughout the course very chewed up. There were many bare spots and a number of areas that the ground was under repair.
There were numerous pitch marks on many of the greens. Many divots throughout the course weren’t filled. The course needs to have some serious work, put into it.
Getting worse not better
The course was on its way to improving and then all of sudden everything is torn up, sand traps still have no sand! It looks like the company who owns it Arcis doesn’t care!!
Tees and greens are in bad shape
Tees and greens are in bad shape. The sand traps don’t have sand. The restaurant was under repair. The only upside is that I played well.
Poor Conditions Made This Round Disappointing
I played Tamarack Golf Club yesterday. The layout is actually enjoyable and the course has the potential to be a fun round, but unfortunately the conditions were very disappointing.
The tee boxes were in poor shape with dead grass, numerous bare spots, and it looked like many divots hadn’t been repaired in years. The bunkers were by far the biggest issue. Most had little to no sand, were essentially hard-packed dirt and rocks, and many were overgrown with weeds. Roughly a third of the bunkers still contained standing water, making them unplayable.
The greens were also struggling. They were very slow, bumpy, and in desperate need of maintenance. Fairways had large piles of grass clippings left behind after mowing, which affected both the appearance and playability of the course.
It’s unfortunate because the routing and overall design are enjoyable, but the lack of maintenance significantly detracts from the experience. I hope the ownership invests in improving course conditions, as Tamarack has the potential to be a much better course than what I experienced.

No Sand in Bunkers
Many holes were nice, some were beat up and no sand in any of the bunkers. Would not recommend this course, but for the money the greens are pretty good and the layout is fine.

Conditions have deteriorated
It has been at least 6 years since I played here, but it used to be a beautiful course. The course conditions all the way down to the facility conditions have really deteriorated. The place needs a face lift and some TLC on the course.

This course has great features. Amazing views! Challenging course with its obstacles ( water and bunkers).
Staff was great! Water and drinks were readily available throughout the course. I would come back just because of that!
My only negative was the poor maintenance of the tee boxes. Probably the worst I’ve played on. If the tee boxes were up to par, I would have given 5’s across the board.
Thank you.
We appreciate your feedback and are thrilled you enjoyed the views and our staff's service! We're sorry to hear about the tee box maintenance and will address this with our team. We hope to welcome you back soon for an even better experience!
A good layout gone to the dogs
The course maintenance improved slightly from two seasons ago, but not too much lately. The most disappointing aspects are the sand bunkers and the cart paths. Bunkers still has vegetation. Luckily shrubs and small trees from the bunkers were removed. Cart paths are getting progressively worse. I once called it Tamawreck. The name still stands
Course condition was terrible
This used to be a good track, but they’ve let this place go big time. Bunkers were full of rocks and weeds, Tee boxes were dead and brown, and water stations on the course were empty. Take your $75 elsewhere.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you were able to have a good round personally. We’ll be sure to share your feedback with the appropriate teams as we continue working to improve the course conditions. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know what you experienced and hope to provide you with a much-improved visit next time.
