Greens/Fairways/Rough
The greens were slower than normal, but we played in the afternoon. The fairways and rough were both good.
Great course,well maintained, go play!
I've always loved this rolling hills layout. Plenty of water, sand, and design to make you think. A tee box for everyone. You'll enjoy this course.
Beautiful course at a great price!
Prairie Highland is one of the nicest courses in the KC area. It is in a great setting with pristine conditions. You can't find a better course for the price!
Very scenic course for being in the country. Impressive
The only problem I had with this course was the absolutely WAY too slow play. Where were the marshals that should have been prodding people to speed it up?
Fun course
One of my favorite courses in KC area! Course has some problem spots but that's to be expected with last year's brutal summer. Otherwise in good rates. Usually can find cheap deals on Golfnow
All around great course.
There was a great variety from hole to hole. Excellently maintained golf course. Friendly staff and even friendly members on the course.
Bad shape slow play
We played after a big rain and the course drainage is very poor. It was cart path only, but play was extremely slow even for that. A marshal apologized for the slow play, but the marshal didn't seem to tell those playing slow to pick up or start playing faster.
Play This Course
Played 4/20/13 and the course isn't bad considering the time of year and weather we've had lately. Greens are in great shape. The staff is great!!
This course has great potential
This course is a nice course but has declined in overall quality the last couple years. I am sure the drought has not helped. The greens are in overall good condition. The pace of play was a litlle slow. Mainly because I was a single behind multiple groups of 4 & 5. I ended up pairing myself up with another group(I would rather the clubhouse take care of this to keep course play flowing smooth for all patrons). Overall beautiful day and enjoyed just being on the golf course.

Challenging Greens
Was delighted to play Prairie Highlands, especially for such a great deal from GolfNow. The course was challenging (narrow fairways near water features, ball eating prairie grass, and tough cup placement on dynamic greens) but beautiful. The staff couldn't be friendlier. I recommend this course to seasoned golfers.
course in great shape considering the weather conditions
Only quaff i have. The sprinkler system kicked on quite a few times during the round. considering it was a Hot day it was kind of a relief, but it did in interfere with our round quite a bit. Our equipment and things got pretty soaked.
great course for the money. Booked 2 people for $40. Normal rates during peak times are a bit steep.
Will play many times as long as the price is right.
Course layout is great
Course needs more water, the zoysia is dormant and not setting up the ball at all.
Always fun
I always enjoy this course. There are enough challenges to be interesting with "risk vs reward" holes such as #10. Do I go for it or lay up?
Its nothing spectacular
Me and a buddy went to this course with high expectations and came away somewhat disappointed. So many of the holes are carbon copies of each other. Two holes stuck out in my mind #9 and #16 other than that pretty much mediocre.
Great Value
Beautiful course which was maintained well. Bunkers needed a little attention but overall a great course. The staff was pretty good except for the frat guy who was working on the bunkers, he kept trying to sell us balls that he found. We had to go to 2 different carts to find one that had GPS that was working and the guys we played with had to switch carts at the turn because theirs had stopped working. Overall it was a great course, probably in my top 4 local public courses.

Very cool layout. Shot my best round of golf there. Course was in good shape for the dry summer. Liked having gps on the carts too.
Great layout and potential.
The drought has really affected this course. The fairway was feeling the effects of not enough water. Probably a very good course now that the rainfall has returned to normal.
Great track
Considering the horribly hot and dry summer we had I thought the course was in good condition. I'll play it again soon when the grass is in better shape.
