Prairie Highlands Golf Course

Fairways and Tees were very good. Too many players not fixing their ball marks on the greens, so they were very bumpy.

Great day! For $25 on a holiday it was awesome. Greens were a little beat up but what would you expect on Monday of a three day weekend? Our carts GPS didn't work but we had a great time.

Found a great deal yesterday to play Prairie Highlands and came away impressed as always. The course was in good shape as most are with all of the rain we have had. The greens were not very fast but were well maintained and not filled with ball marks. Make sure to stay out of the bunkers as they have molded them so that they have a huge lip on them and hard to get out of if under the lip!

I played as a twosome and was done in 3 hours. There were other players on the course but pace was awesome.

Also love the GPS system on the carts it speeds the game up immensely.

Course is in great shape with recent rains, receptive greens. Many of the traps had standing water so that was difficult.

Fairways seemed dry and neglected.played this course a few years ago and thought it was one of the best in KC.Great layout challenging holes.A little work and it could be great again.

Great deal for the money with GPS carts, a little dry, but it is mid July in Kansas. Enjoyed the layout and links style layout. Felt like we had the whole course to ourselves although there were others out there.

First time playing the course, for this time of year it was in great shape. Played early to beat the heat and had maintenance crew either mowing, watering the green, or working on something else on pretty much every hole. Most of the time we could hit and it wouldn't be an issue, but other times we would have to wait for quite a while and then hope your ball didn't hit or land in the saturated parts around the green. If you play, play later, and expect to pay over $50.

Very friendly staff, cold water stocked at many tee boxes. Has a lot of bunkers.

Pro-shop staff was friendly. Bar staff and cart girl weren't as friendly. Only saw cart girl once and course wasn't packed at all. It was very hot out so this didn't make sense. There is lots of water on the course. So, that's a plus.

Tee boxes had just been plugged so they were a little shaggy. Greens were in great shape but could have been rolling quicker. Fairways were solid.

You have to keep your ball in play

My son and I played and it was a nice, yet windy afternoon. We came upon two couples in a foursome, who let us through on the 3rd hole. We then played a 3 hour 10 minute round. My son and I have not played much this year and the course was a real test for us. If you spray it at all, you're in trouble. Bring balls. The fairways were nice and weed free, cut short, and hard. The greens were hard for me to read, but, ran true and were in good shape. Lots of nice water and tree features - beautiful course and the $35 greens fees with cart were a fantastic bargain.

Overall I would say it was an enjoyable experience. PH is a course I would expect someone to improve their score from 4 - 8 strokes after playing it once. Numerous holes where I would have played a different club after seeing the layout. The gentleman in the pro shop was exceptional and the course was in acceptable condition with the greens being in better shape than anywhere else.

I shot the best round of my life on Saturday! The greens rolled true, fairways and tee-boxes were in great condition. The staff was friendly and I WILL BE BACK!!

The course needed mowing. Especially the tee boxes. This was a Sunday...could see if it were an off day, but it was prime time play and it desperately needed mowing. One tee box was all crab grass. Even with a tee, it felt like playing out of the rough?

To Start, the guy checking us in was a little odd, asking me why I was so "jittery" Seemed rather insulting considering it was first thing in the morning and I personally still trying to wake up completely. Then the entire round was spent waiting on mowers and having to deal with the noise rather than piece and quiet like any other golf course for the most part. I'm not talking like crickets chirping, but at least enough peace and quiet to enjoy playing golf. I understand the course has to be maintained, but it just seemed like it was full forces of grounds crews out working on the course. Not to mention we kept having a plane fly over us which was evening more annoying. The only reason why I would probably go back to this course is the course itself. Despite all the distractions and inconsiderate staff, it was a really enjoyable course to play and challenging as well.

This was first experience playing in Kansas and was very pleased. Course was in great shape.

The course was in great shape. It was challenging but fun. The fairways were a little hard, but overall condition was good. We would recommend this course and look forward to coming back again.

This course was in fantastic shape. Heavy rains the day before were a non factor with the exception of a a few wet sand traps. Overall a great course with great conditions.

The course was in great shape and I thought the deal we got on Golfnow was in-line with area course prices. The normal course rates seem to be too high for other courses that are similar that could be played as well.

Pace of play was good, marshals were out trying to keep groups moving. GPS built into the cart was great and helpful.

The course is tight and demands accuracy, but there are plenty of opportunities to have a good score.

Great course, in really good shape right now. I will play here again-best review I can give.
