Compass Pointe Golf Club - North/East Course

The course was in excellent condition, the greens were consistent and fast. Just over 4 hours for the round

Played the South/West course around 1030 on a Saturday morning. Pace of play was painfully slow but worse than that were the greens. Massive amount of ball divots which no one repaired and apparent the greens keepers hadn’t either. Made putting terrible the balls bounced all around. For $75 this course is not worth the money. Not to mention the layout is terrible. Both par 5s you have to tee off with something other than a driver because of hazards. My suggestion spend less and play Eisenhower which is a much better course. You were warned.

Played the North East course, more par 5 than we were used to, but when asked staff questions seemed to bother them instead of being greeted with a smile...

Guys were cutting grass mid day not caring about golfers…, cart guys with superiority complex .. do your job

Fairways, greens and tees in great shape. Fair course, great layout.

I played this course over 5 years ago and i don’t quite remember what shape it was in then. Since it’s been so long since I played there, I must no have been thrilled with my experience then I played the SouthWest course today and it was in really good shape, the pace of play was great, the staff was great, and the price was very reasonable. My only criticism goes to the golfers: please fix your divots on the greens. The greens were in good shape, but so many I unfixed divots.

It was an enjoyable round but I don’t think I got the full amount of value out of the $77 it cost to play.

The course was in good condition, the greens were in good shape but slow, the weather was perfect. Had a 5some playing in front of us so pace was a little slower than normal.

Played on a Wednesday. Tees off at 7:42 and was at my far at 11:47. Played with three other singles. Two of us played from the whites, one from the gold and one from the red and still finished at four hours. Tee boxes and fairways are in outstanding condition. Greens, for the most part are in great shape. There were a couple that were questionable but I think that has more to do with golfers not taking the tone or having the respect to replace divot marks. Very happy. I’ll definitely be back.

this was a great course for the money.

as i was playing, i found out there are actually 2 courses here. there were many challenging holes. some with water and some without . the tee boxes are very large and provide for your draw or fade off of the box. i think there were 6 boxes to choose from. and they are very plush compared to many. the fairways were cut nicely and most were in above average shape. the greens rolled true and smooth. i loved them. they are faster than most, but not, per se, fast. the sand around most greens were in excellent shape. that's very rare! the only issue i noticed the edges of the course are a bit rough. a lot of partially grown grass and some hardpan. i found this to be an issue on way to many balls hit wide. By far, this course is in great shape and it will provide a challenge to many skill levels.

North East course was in great condition. A couple bare spots but nothing too bad. It is a very challenging course with little forgiveness. It was expensive however it seems all courses in the dmv area are like this. (I’m from Pittsburgh). Overall I enjoyed the course and would recommend it.
