Pine Forest Golf Club

It is a long way from anywhere, but it is worth the trip for an old school round of golf.

Fun to play at times a little severe. I would have really enjoyed it more if the greens were healthier and more puttable. Hopefully nature will be kind and send more favorable weather for growth.

This is a wonderful and challenging course. With the many elevation changes and the magnificent views, it is almost a great course. The overall shape of the greens holds this course back. Many of the greens were in surprisingly poor condition. Watching a putt was like watching a basketball dribbling down the court. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and it was a tremendous joy to play there.

This is a bit of a drive from Austin, but the course is beautiful with lots of elevation changes. The only downside is the greens were a tad spotty, but I'm sure will fill out since Spring is here.

My uncle turned a par into a 10 because the ball kept rolling back down the green after barely missing the hole. 8 times. They're a little hard. Other than that, it's my favorite course.

Pine Forest is always a great deal. Fun golfing experience. Pace of play on weekends when the weather is good can be slow - during the week it's awesome. Go play it.

Very good fairways the greens were fair overall a good value.

Excellent layout. Fun course. Greens were not in good shape for this time of year. Very bumpy, impossible for putt to stay on line.

Well worth the drive out to Bastrop, just pick your day better than us ! Unfortunately, it was freezing cold and VERY wet underfoot. But having said all that - what a treat of a course. No two holes alike and some that would be at home with the name Nicklaus or Fazio after it. A shame someone doesn't buy it up and spend a little money on it - I would if I won the lottery !

Have been coming out to this course since '09. I have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and the course is always in great shape regardless of the time of year.

Pine Forest is one of the top 3 golf courses in Bastrop County. The hills make for some challenging shots. Overall, a great place to golf with an extremely friendly staff.

It was my first time playing here and a buddy found it by chance because there was a cheap deal for the tee time. I have to say it was worth every penny and then some. Beautiful course, amazing scenery and the hospitality was great! Friendliest course I've been to. Loved it and will go back for sure.

My father and I have played courses around the state and country. You will not find a better course for the price. Worth any distance to drive and play.

Cart ride can be exhilarating at times with serious ups and downs. Challenging course with blind shots on some holes. For this time of year the course is in pretty good shape, Play requires some accurate ball placement with some holes with severe rough and some with OB near homes. Greens will sharpen skills to a fine edge as they are very undulating and can be quite fast.

Marshall came by many times and told are party to hurry our pace . We were playing faster than recommended pace. The Marshall advised the people behind us were regulars and wanted to go ahead us. The Marshall asked multiple times if the parties behind us could pass . At one point the Marshall came up to us and said what are yall doing for the next 2 hours ? He asked can people pass because a seven some is betting on the golf round and want to be together . Very rude service . The issue are foresome is quite good , but younger than most of the golfers playing at the course . I liked the course but would like to see better service in the future.

Overall course is in great shape. Nice putting green. A few challenging holes but lots of woods. If you hit an errant tee shot, you ball is lost.
Greens were ok. 18th hole is tricky.

For for the time of year the course was in good condition-tees, fairways, sand traps, greens. Very nice practice putting green and ample driving range. Very scenic course. Good mix of challenges, elevated tees, doglegs, sand traps, trees, etc. that call for good shot making, course management and putting skill.

I really enjoyed our round today. Came out early and found the course kinda empty when we started. The fairways and greens were in the best condition I've ever seen them in. Nice and green. I want to go back soon.
