Tour 18 Houston
About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Great course
Very nice combination of elements. Feels nice to be playing in the same conditions of Major tourament holes. Lots of deer and exotic birds. Course in good conditions.
Survived the Texas summer
Course was in great condition for being end of the summer in Texas. Greens and fairways were firm and rough was long enough that it added to the difficulty.
Pace of play was an issue though. We played on a Monday teeing off at 11pm and it ended up being a 5 hr round… which is kinda ridiculous. But other than that it was a great day.
Step back
I have played before and course is worst now , flooded sand traps , mud , car paths are damaged greens were recently sanded , stinky ponds and several punts are just a mud pit, not worth the money as it is
Greens sanded
The Greens were all sanded today with various amounts of sand on each… thus difficult to putt.
The course was in pretty good shape but definitely needing some rain.
The personnel working there are awesome. The course is usually in much better condition. Stlll enjoyed though
1st experience playing Tour 18 Houston GC
Simply put, this course is among the very best courses in Houston. I'd rank it in my top 5 courses, alongside of Golf Club of Houston, Houston National Golf Club, Memorial Park Golf Course, and BlackHorse Golf Club. The greens are in phenomenal condition on every hole, fairways are plush and and well cared for, and every hole offers a unique challenge of its own. I'm definitely playing this course again and again going forward. Staff inside and outside were very polite at well, which is very important to me.
Awesome day
The course is in great shape and dry so be careful on run out.. The greens aren't very speedy and fair. Deer greeted me 3 different times which was nice and surprising being in the middle of the day.
I personally don't like hitting off matts and prefer natural grass. I wish they had an area for those who prefer grass. I have wrist problems and it's jammed my wrist before hitting off matts. Let's face it, you're hitting off grass on the course.
Other feedback, put sand in the bunkers. Number 3+ 4 Green side bunkers though raked by maintenance crew 👍 was hardpan and wasn't the only bunkers I found with the same problem. Fairway bunker would be fine but Green side bunkers should never be hardpan. You almost drive by the sign off 1960 so slow down for your turn. If the management is reading these, I would spend a little bit on a nicer road sign as I don't think it's a great representation of what's behind those woods and the tramendous golf course you have to offer.
It's still one of my favorite courses in all Houston and I recommend it to almost everyone I talk to that golfs around Houston. You'll love the challenge and playing holes you'll probably never play at their respected courses.
excellent
Greens are as good as I've seen the for this course, fairways are lush (no hardpan like last year). Good value for $80 green fee. Staff was friendly. Pace of play was right at 4 hours for 8am tee time.
Only minor complaint was the Shot Tracer on the driving range did not pick up our shots. However, the mats and balls are both in good shape. Keep up the good work!
Love this course
Course was in good shape per usual, except for the strange way they had cut the grass in areas. Some strips were pretty short and adjoining strips longer. like the mower was messed up. They had some sort of tournament in progress and when we caught up to them the pace of play was snail like. Fortunately they must have started on different holes because they were done about the 15th hole. The entire staff are very friendly.
Course was in great shape, other than some firm spots on the tee boxes. Fairways, greens, and traps were very well maintained. It's a lot of fun to play reproductions of some of the best holes on the tour. Having played a few of these holes at their actual site, I felt they were very good representations.
I can't wait to play there again!
Fun concept, great course
Playing “Amen Corner” and all the other famous holes is awesome. The course was in good condition too, with the greens nice and all of the fairways and rough well kept too. Clubhouse was good, the cart came around a lot, and everyone was nice.
Beautiful course and great idea for holes selection
I’m sure the holes are not exact replication of the PGA holes they represent but the concept of combining some of the most famous holes for the public to play in one course is awesome. On top of that, this place was in immaculate condition and absolutely beautiful. It’s a little bit more expensive than where I usually play but I will return. It’s also I bit over a three hour drive.
