Tour 18 Houston
About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Winter Golf in Texas
Course was in great shape for winter golf, some tee boxes a bit rough but overall great.
Another Slow Weekend Round
I have played this course many times and have no complaints about the layout, conditions, etc. But the round took somewhere around 5 hours and 20 minutes to finish. The first two holes were fine. Then we waited on every single tee box the rest of the day, many times with more than one group sitting on the box. The tee times were spaced out 10 minutes apart so I don't even think they were trying to cram too many people onto the course. And only one hole was cart path only so I don't think that was the issue either. Would've loved for a marshall to speed things along.
Challenging!
Great course! For someone that plays 4-5x/year this course is a tough one. Fairways are open, but hills and hazards run throughout.
Weather was chilly, heavy rain the evening prior had the greens running sluggish even for a 10am start. By noon it was a completely different game.
Had a great time.
18 legendary holes from the tour
It’s so cool playin 18 iconic holes from different courses on the pga tour. Course is in great condition especially compared to some other courses ive played around Houston.
Very Cool Course That's Definitely Worth Playing
This is just a cool course to play. The recreation of famous holes is fun to play especially sawgrass 17 and 6 bay hill. Course has been in almost great condition consistently. Other than that its exactly what you'd expect a replica compilation course to be.
Cart Path
The course must have had a lot of rain that wasn’t draining well. Water in several bunkers and several holes were cart path only. This is my favorite course in the area and I’d usually give 5 stars, but conditions today were not ideal.
Interesting course
Cart Path only, not happy about that with the fee paid. Asked for a handicap flag , nope not allowed today. Not only am I handicapped but my older brother who came out to have a good time going through radiation treatments would like to had a little break. I know it rained Friday obviously the course does not drain well. Bunkers filled with water, No maintenance crew. Sorry but this course does not demand the rate they charge, plus you have to purchase range balls. I don't mind paying for what you get but you just don't get it here.
Where are the marshals?
Everything a golfer could want for a great round, EXCEPT: the TWO groups ahead of our foursome were playing as a SIXSOME! There were six players at every tee box and green. And we saw their carts up on the fringe of some greens!
We were forced to wait on almost every shot...and there were three groups behind us fuming.
The course management has a responsibility it did not fulfill.
Greens, fairways and Bunkers.
The 3 areas listed weren't in good shape this past summer, but there has been a significant turnaround on all aspects of the course. Tee boxes need a little work. Amazing want rain will do for a course and proper care from the workers. Great job.
The best of ALL worlds
The concept of compiling signature holes from different courses into a single 18 hole course isn't new, but Tour 18 Houston has NAILED IT! The very first hole replicates Harbour Town's famous 18th hole. And it replicates it WELL. From there, the 2nd hole replicates the famous par 5 6th of Bay Hill. From there, a 3 hole stretch PERFECTLY mimics the iconic "Amen Corner" & anyone whose been there or even watched the Masters on TV can see it. The list goes on, the front 9 ends with an island green that simulates the 17th at TPC Sawgrass, home of the Players Championship. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you're in Houston, this course is a MUST PLAY!
Slow at First
The pace of play on the front 9 was super slow with a couple of fivesomes in front of us but I have to give the marshals credit whatever they said to make the groups in front speed up it worked wonderfully. We did not have to wait on a single hole after. Kudos to them.
Course was in great shape and quite difficult for my game. We normally play whites but enjoyed the alternating tee boxes. Made some of the holes very challenging.
Tough Course
its not easy but challenging
This is somewhat top of holes inspired
