About

Holes 18
Type Public
Par 72
Length 6782 yards
Slope 129
Rating 72.7

Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.

Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.

Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.

Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.

Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

It’s in great shape!

Houston had a bit of rain so we were cart path only but I was playing mid week and played alone. Had the course to myself. Amen corner and Sawgrass 17 are freakin awesome.

Fun Course

Fun course layout. Being able to play duplicates of famous holes is a great idea, my time there was great since the course was wide open and had no issues with pace of play. Maintenance of the course was exceptional.

Don't worth the money

The course is nice, Greens are good but in general for the price you should have better cars, tools to clean the balls in tee's, marshall making people respect, etc, not bad but sincerly expensive for the general experience.

The Course was closed that day

Hi, Golf Now,

The Course is closed on May 3rd due to the heavy rain, and the golf pro shop told us we must request a refund from Golf Now.

So please help refund the green fee for me!

Thanks

Inconsistent greens

The overall condition of the course was good but definitely not up to what one would expect at a course of this type. The greens were very inconsistent, making putting more difficult to read.

The course I like

Except the roadwork in the entrance of the golf course, everything is perfect in the base of friendly price.

Downhill

From when it came into existence to now, overall course maintenance has gone down. Bunkers are half filled with sand, sometimes you're hitting the bunker liner....some fairways have patches of sand.. The decent bits, they're able to maintain fairways and greens. Feels like management all about the ROI over quality now, like most courses in the Houston area. Recently punched ~3-4 weeks ago, greens starting to roll true.

Pace of play was horendous

5 hour round is unacceptable. There was no marshall to help speed things up. The group in front of us was not keeping up with group ahead of them.
