Holes 18
Type Public
Par 72
Length 6782 yards
Slope 129
Rating 72.7

Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.

Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.

Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.

Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.

Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Fun Day at Tour 18

I had friends in town and we chose Tour 18 and was extremely satisfied with our experience. This is definitely a course I would play repeatedly , the lay out is challenging and the staff was very accommodating. Our hostess in the dining area Aisha, made my friends and I felt very special with her attentive service

WORTH THE MONEY!

If you watch the pga tour and enjoy it, this is a must play. Course in great shape. I’d say greens were rolling 10-11 on the stemp. Bay Hill, TPC sawgrass, and obviously Amen corner from Augusta. If you have a little imagination, you can feel like you’re inside the ropes… Played as a single on a Saturday morning and pace of play was about 4:40. Not super fast, but didn’t feel like we were standing around too long. Worth it!

First time

First time playing the course and loved the layout very challenging but all in all a great day. Only down side was the two 3 balls that joined up and played as a 6 ball after the first hole held up the pace of play through the first 7 holes

Tour 18 still Fun after all these years

You start out on the range with Top Tracker which is awesome. The conditions were really good for early February gold in Houston. Greens held well and rolled better.

Pace was slow until we went a round a slow 4 some who obviously had a high stake game going. Every shoot took a lot of pre shot planning like they were your pros but they were not good!!!!

T18 doesn’t send Marshall’s out so you are left with “golfer etiquette” to run things. They finally let us pass on 10. We flew through the back nine after almost 3 hours on the front.

Go play it. You will love it!
