Length 6782 yards
Slope 129
Rating 72.7

Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.

Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.

Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.

Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.

Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

What a layout

The tournament course at Golf Club of Houston is an amazing layout. It would have been better if every tee wasn’t moved up. Staff was friendly. The group ahead of us thought that utilizing the fairways as a trash can was pro move, I tend to disagree. Same said group also thought 5.5 hours was adequate pace, again disagree.

With that being said if you don’t get stuck behind a road of douche canoes it should be an amazing day with amazing food and amazing amenities.

Beautiful Course, Beautiful Day !

Can’t say anything negative about this course. The fairways were fully grassed, the rough was hard to get out of. Sand traps had proper amount of fine sand. Greens were true. A perfect time to play this course !!!

Too much money for course conditions

This course charges over $100 for a course that is not in over $100 conditions. If I wanted to play on a course that was in this condition I would pay $50-$60. The grass was not in good shape in some places & most of the tee boxes were hacked up. The bridges have been in bad shape for a long time & have never been repaired. Greens had crab grass & were not in that great of shape. If I was to rate this course on overall 1 out of 10 I would rate it a 5-6. I have played this course several times & it has been in better shape but it seems they have let it go a little, so to still charge over $100 is a rip off

Great Experience and Welcoming Staff

First and foremost the staff was so friendly and respectful. Easy to chat with and made the pro shop and restaurant experience blissful.

Course was in a good shape and was a great time. The ability to enjoy simulated Tour level holes was great. I wish I could play it a couple more times and shot some better scores!

Range facility is small, but in good shape. Putting green played almost identically to the on course greens.

Wow! Tour 18 - Golf Heaven!

On the spur of the moment decided to go play after it rained... Beautiful weather sunny skies. Booked it on Golf Now.

Quickly in and out of the pro shop. Warmed up and then played "lights out" good, starting off with 2 birdies.

No traffic...played fast. Greens were perfect.

Every hole was a dream!

Definitely recommend this course it is a beautiful shape....

Great round

Had a great round with family and friends at Tour 18. Storming the night before but course was in great condition and there was only a couple of spots that were really wet, the greens were in great shape and rolled out great considering the storm the night before.

Miserably slow

Over 5 hours and 15 minutes to play, with a 9 AM tee time. I quit playing here a while ago due to pace of play. Thought I'd come back to try again. But will never play the course again due to how slow it is and Marshalls not doing their job to keep up pace of play.

Fun Concept

It’s cool playing holes designed based on what the pros play, fun track and presents multiple challenges. Some tee boxes need maintenance but overall no complaints.
