Worst course in the state.
Quite possibly the worst golf course in the state. They cut down the 17th par 5 into a par 3 so they could add more camper spots. They didn't even make a new green. They just painted a spot in their field/fairway and stuck a flag in it.
You get what you pay for
This was the lowest priced course I could find on the app. So my expectations were not that high.
There was some creativity in the layout that I found enjoyable, but the the greens were not in good shape which made putting very difficult which adds to The Strokes you have on your card.
Also there were several places on the course that if you had not played before you would get lost trying to find the next hole. Luckily there were some workmen who able to redirect us so we were able to find the hole.
I did not give this course a rating that was very high, but for the money I played it actually was worth it. I would play it again so it's not a terrible course just not a great course.
Might be the worst golf course I've ever played
Overpriced for what it is. The calendar isn't synced in golfnow with their own, so what looks like an open calendar is actually a booked course so pace of play is awful. Course conditions are horrendous. Might be the worst I've ever seen
Winter/Spring Golf Rules
Three buddies and I decided to take a run at Quail Creek because we were tired of playing the same courses over and over again. So, I got us a Golf Now/Golf Pass Hot Deal for $23.00 and off we went. Now keep in mind that this is the middle of April, and April showers bring May flowers, and we have had our share this winter. We knew we were not at Augusta, although we have had about as much rain as Augusta did during The Masters.
The course overall was not in horrible shape. Some areas of the fairways and greens were actually in good shape, while others were begging the grass to grow. Tee boxes were fine. I mean It's a tee box for crying out loud. Many greens need love badly but after the first few holes the ball started rolling without hoping so much.
The staff was friendly and so were the other golfers on the course. Only hot dogs for lunch but we had to get going so we did not do lunch. Had a little confusion finding the last three or four tee boxes due to the construction but it only took a few minutes to solve that.
What's the final verdict? Well, in closing, let me say that I didn't hate the course. I will come back and play again. After all, as I said it's April. Tough to keep up a course with today's costs for labor, fuel, fertilizer, equipment and the other things needed for the golf course to be successful.
Golfers who want a deal, this is your course! Perfectly fine course and for $23.00 with a HOT DEAL or $35.00 for a regular tee time, it was a steal. Golfers who want luxury, a nice club house, TV's, a hot meal, and a locker room, stay away. You probably won't be happy, but there will still be a bunch of people at Quail Creek playing and having a blast.
Greens are AWFUL
The only reason I put this review is mainly the Greens if you can call them that. They put no effort into them. If you want a cheap place to work on driving and irons then fine. Don’t go expecting to use the greens at all. Just playing golf in a mowed pasture. The people are friendly but the course is trash. I do wish they would put a little more effort into the greens.
Always a fun place
Course is in typical winter condition. Hate one of the most fun holes 17 got turned into an awful par 3 to make more camping space but they are working on it. Always a fun round though at QC. Great people.
NoResort
They are working on the course a lot now with improvements. All but one green are playable and it is a temporary green. Plans are to make another green from scratch next year.
Ok
Greens were a little rough, get what you pay for here.
Lots of Improvements
Grounds staff is working hard making great improvements. You can see improvements to greens and tee boxes every time you play a round.
quaint course - challenging holes
challenging holes but fairways are dry and bare in spots. but the quaintness is a great reason to play
QC Golf & Resort
Excellent little country course. Premium placed on making shots. Greens in good shape.
