Really bad shape
I've played at Antler for over 5 years. This is the worst I have ever seen it. No water with a dry winter means the course is burnt out, especially the greens with aeration a couple weeks ago. The sand and aeration punch holes were everywhere significantly negatively affect play. Won't play again until I know everything is grown in and greened up.
extremely poor conditions of course
This is the first time playing this course for me. This course is currently in the worst condition I have ever seen a course even if it was winter golfing conditions.
I really hope that they quickly do something to save it as the layout of this course is really nice but is not even close to what they advertise on their brochure. I added 6 photos, the first three are of the fairways and the last three are of the greens.
Currently I would not recommend this course until they improve it dramatically.

Don't waste your $$$
I wish I had thought to take pic's. Entire course is dead/dormant, including greens. It's a challenge to even find a small patch of grass to hit a fairway shot from. Putting is impossible. paid $50+ and it was the worst money I've ever spent. $8.40 breakfast burrito looked & tasted like it was a week old. BTW - practice area is just as bad as the course... that should have been a clue for our foursome to walk away. I'm not sure how they get play charging full price for an absolute goat-track.
Very challenging
Course is extremely long from back tees, but played shorter due to dormant conditions. Course is still very dry as they don't seem to be irrigating, yet. Look forward to playing in about a month when course conditions should be much better. Can't expect better this time of year at approx. 6500' elevation.
Course In Bad Shape Right Now
I am not a complainer, but the course is in horrible shape right now. It will probably be mid June before it is where it needs to be. I love this course when it is in good shape, but it takes the longest to get ready for the season out of any of the courses in Colorado Springs.
WORST CONDITION EVER!!
Don't waste your time heading to Antler Creek.
Tee boxes, fairways, greens are all DRY and DEAD.
There is NO GRASS.
Front 9 was closed so had to play the back twice and it was cart path only.
Overpriced
I know it’s early April but the course condition was incredibly poor. I don’t recall seeing any green at all. Not to mention it’s the longest course in Colorado and there was nothing about cart path only until we were ready to go. Not a bad course in the summer but should not be more than $20 in this condition.
Poor course condition
I know it’s early in year but didn’t look they’ve even turned on a sprinkler, the fairways were bone dry so actually a disadvantage to be in them. We’ll try a round later in year but not impressed now.also cart path only vs. 90 degree which was another issue
Great winter golf value
Great layout. Conditions for late winter were hard and dry. No sand / seeds in cart to fill divots. They should water / soften the greens on warm winter days. All that being said, very good value for the price paid.
Great course, just needs time to recover.
Lack of water / rain and in the few months has made this great course not the best choice at this time. All the greens have sand on them and it car path only. I’ll be back when it recover though.
Horrible Staff / Good Course
The course is well designed and challenging. However, the head pro is extremely rude and lazy ( I think his name is Tyler). As you walk into the pro shop you are greeted by a rude/unfriendly person who you think is just hired help. Then you find out he is the head pro. Can't understand why the owners would keep him employed. He is such a NEGATIVE reflection. Recommend the course, but make sure you are ready to be greeted by an unprofessional head pro.
Nice for match play; bring your sand game
You always hear about how long the course is (8,000+ from the tips), but plenty of tee options.
Challenging course both off the tee and around the greens. This makes it great for match play and pretty bad for stroke play. More than the distance, what detracts from playability is bunkers pinching the landing areas and tightly fronting several greens. If you're intimidated by sand, this is not your course. I was in 7 traps.
The day I played (warm winter day, breezy), the pins were tucked on several holes and not very accessible, especially because the greens were firm and the winter grass thin. The course is far enough from the mountains that wind is almost always a factor, but the design doesn't favor a ground game. Guessing it plays better in the summer.
With heroic carries and plenty of lateral trouble, it's a fun course for match play, a frustrating course for stroke play. Your card will get blown up somewhere. My playing partner was a 5 handicap who shot in the mid-90s from the back tees. But he eagled the 667-yard 7th, which was worth the price of the Hot Deal.
Course has a nice practice area. Pace of play was good for a Saturday during off-season.
Great Fall Day!
Early afternoon tee time--50-60 degrees and little wind. Course can be a little rough in the Spring, but not so now. Warmed up on the grass driving range which was in immaculate condition--mirrored the fairways and tee boxes on the course. Greens were in great shape as well. Have always loved that this course features so many different tee boxes--as my age and handicap have grown (now 65 and 20), I'm still able to enjoy the challenge of playing it. Played the yellow tees (66.9/118) and shot just below my handicap. Staff was great and, given the scarcity of players (their loss), just told me to go when I was ready. Looking forward to getting out again before the cold weather arrives.
Where's the green?
This is a pretty, long course. It has great views and surprising marshy features. It has many hard turns and a fair amount of sand traps. Well laid out amongst the neighborhood. Fairly tight necks after the tee shots but doable. A bit of over irrigation the day I played so skinned a few shots. Great ad lib company for the day.
Great Course
I had my best round of the year here, 2 birdies and 4 pars!
Antler creek
Loved it... will pay this course many more times... challenged by the gauntlet... holes 9 thru 12
Great Course
The course was great. The front was for big drives & the back is for strategy...
The green were good except for the part 3s which had over 50 ducks/geeses...
The lace was slow due to group ahead constantly looking for there balls...
Staff was great.
The bunkers was fill with stoney sand (gravel to me) Provides was torn up falling in bunker and rolling of drive... The green stuff growing in bunkers did not protect (haha)....
All & all great c ourselves got a 82 on blues so will go to gold next time now that I know how to play it...
The elevation and time of year excuse are lame. Played other courses locally and none as poor as this. Is this review written by the course management?
