Rating 75.0

Carved from rolling orange groves and native, protected wetlands, Mystic Dunes Golf Club sits on the edge of the premier travel destination in the world yet offers a feeling of escape from it all. Located just two miles south of Walt Disney World, Mystic Dunes was designed by PGA Tour player and NBC golf analyst Gary Koch.

Tee-to-green, this golf course is stylish blend of classic strategic forms and thoroughly modern methods, but it is its greens that will make this course notable beyond whatever regional reputation it develops. Greens reminiscent of Augusta National, par-4 holes that rival in length to some of the longest seen in major championships, and a diabolical quartet of par 3s that seem to get more intense as the round progresses are just some of the features on this 7,012 yard, par-71 track. Mystic Dunes will leave a lasting impression on you.

Ouch

Front 9 greens, fairways, and tee boxes in horrible shape. The course smells horrible, especially on the range and front 9

Back 9 was a bit better with condition and greens.

Heard Hilton is dumping money into it but it needs a lot of money to get it where they want to be.

Fun Course with Challenging Greens

This was my first time playing Mystic Dunes. I really liked the layout of the course. It was a lot of fun and the greens were challenging. The greens have lots of slopes, undulations, uphill and downhill challenges.

The fairways were still getting the bermuda grass coming in, so there were some bare spots, but that will change and get better as the weather gets warmer.

I would highly recommend Mystic Dunes. The only drawback was the price. The price was a little high for what you get as far as course and conditions.

Overall, i had a great time and I would recommend Mystic Dunes.

Overpriced for the condition

Compared to other courses in the area the price vs condition was sub par. Nice club house, range and amenities but the course itself was dry, poor tee boxes and spotty fairways and greens, Spend more money on watering the course.

Has potential or probably was great when it opened

This course is pretty cool with big slopey greens! The greens were good, with the exception of a few holes that hand some sand spots. Every hole was different and fun to play. The back 9 is in better shape than the front, but overall it’s a fun course. There are also tons of enormous bunkers, again, it made it fun. The perimeters of the course are not in the best shape with some weeds but overall it was good enough. We would probably come back.

Great Layout

I base my experience and reviews on course layout and challenging holes this course had some really memorable holes par 3’s were very challenging. The staff was very friendly, starter was very informative on where not to hit your ball, stay out of the waste bunkers, fortunately I was never in one. The course was in great shape the greens are large, undulated and rolled true. I played 10 different courses in the area and I recommended this course to others I played with. I would definitely play this course again if I am ever back in the area.

Very disappointed

Played 3 courses over the last 5 days in Orlando. Booked all through Golf Now...Mystic dunes was the most expensive of the 3 and we were very excited to play there. The Website pictures looked great and on arrival the staff were sadly unfriendly the range was a despicable " cabbage patch" and the front 9 nine was the same as the driving range...we were waiting on every hole and there were no Marshall's enforcing pace of play..surprisingly the back 9 was a different course. It appeared obvious they started working on upgrading the entire course. I would rate the front as a 1 out of 10 and the back 9 i would rate a 5 out of 10 compared to my expectations...I would not be writing this BAD review if when booking i was advised of the conditions and had expectations that met the overall experience...I probably would have booked elsewhere if I had known or if they actually charged what it was worth. Based on the conditions I think the rate should not have exceeded $30 for 18 holes cart included

Resort Not

We found this course through golf app. We didn’t look at course reviews before booking our tee time to our horror; this course is poorly designed and even worse is the basic course maintenance. If the course was properly maintained, you could almost forgive the ridiculous course design.

We paid for 18 holes but decided to end this horror show after 9 painful holes.

Read course reviews Before booking this disaster of a golf course. Nothing appealing about this Resort!

Two thumbs down 👎🏽.

From Ohio to Orlando!

Great Course, much improved

Played this course 4yrs ago and it was ok. many changes have been made and course is great. Lots of tee block options to suit all handicaps. Many Greens have undulations so depending upon pin placement putting can be a challenge.

Staff were fantastic. will definitely play again.

I regret booking this course

I have not wasted money on a round of golf like I did at Mystic Dunes. The conditions of the course were down right horrible. The sand trap,/waste bunker dunes were ankle deep in some places. I couid go on and on but I won’t, just consider other courses in the area before you make the same mistake I did.

Challenging Greens

Course in good shape even though it is early spring. Lots of opportunities to hit out of sand if you are not careful.
