Mystic Dunes Golf Club

Course has a great layout but golf courses is not kept in good shape.

Reviews last few years tell the story pretty well. But with new management of the entire property, major course improvements were done over many months last spring and summer as course closed completely. Results are amazing. Greens are in excellent shape. Fairways are firm and new grass has grown in over most all the holes.

As always, staff continues to be professional, experienced, and knowledgeable.

Did not use the restaurant, but reviews on the Hilton resort part of Mystic Dunes are very positive. Course is very close to Disney with easy access from the area. Price remains very competitive for this immediate Disney area.

The design is Gary Koch. Course is very challenging with long par 4s with huge greens, short par 4’s with tough small greens, reachable par 5’s, and four very different par 3s.

Driving has mostly generous fairways…the fun starts with hitting and putting the greens.

This golf course was awful. The greens are too tricked up. There was no maintenance of course conditions. Don’t play this course. It’s a waste of money.

A decent layout but a tough challenge due to the undulating greens, by no means a criticism, just tough! The course has a lot of new grass on the Fairways and greens which is knitting in well, the greens hold and the ball rus smoothly. Overall a good day was had.

Second time playing mystic dunes in the last four months. Course conditions are continuing to improve; greens rolling great, fairways really solid with a few bare areas, and most encouraging is the fact that the staff is clearly taking more pride in resurrecting this Koch layout which is quite unique for Orlando. If you’ve played this before, you would know there is an anbundance of sand traps and water retention areas which have never looked better (all raked and groomed). When you see the ranger, who was moving the slow groups ahead, dropping sand on the tee boxes multiple times, it speaks to the level of care the current staff displays. Some tee boxes are rough but when this place gets another summer of growth - lookout. Proshop staff great, and the clubhouse food very good (blue cheese salad with filet).

Showed up on a Tuesday afternoon no tee time and they got me out no problem. The general manager Doug was there and couldn't have been more friendly. Cart staff all the way to the bartender were amazing and fun to talk to. Loved the course, the layout is extremely fun and the greens were in great shape. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be back, hopefully sooner rather than later. Definitely recommend.

Nice layout, good challenge and the conditions correct.

Fairway nice and green very nice, but little slow. Perfect for this kind of green shape

tee boxes were beat up, fairways lots of divots not filled in, brown spots everywhere, weeds on fairways, not green, greens were good at best, will not be back, and this is called a resort course, I paid $90 on golf now, resort guests pay $109 and outsides pay $139, I'd upset and if I paid $139 and got those conditions, I hope it gets better the layout is challenging

The staff were great from the time we arrived till we left. The course is under repair and still waiting for things to grow and come back. The greens were very slow but very challenging. None of them are flat.

When it gets up to par will be a great course to play

A little disappointing with the price with the condition of the course.

The only other complaint was my cart was suppose to be put on handicap mode but it was not and a lot of walking with a two bad knees so pretty tired near the end of the round and sore. It is what it is

I really enjoyed this course the way it roamed around the approaches are mysterious the greens were always the surprise when you would get up close it's a great little course that you have to play a few times in order to get good at it. Well worth 60 to 80 on golf now.
