Lakeland Golf Club
About
Lakeland Golf Club originally opened in 1964 and in 2002 it was expanded to an 18-hole championship course. Barry Serafin reworked the traditional design of the original layout into a challenging course that is still playable for a range of skill levels. The five diverse sets of tees make it even more accommodating. Seasoned players will find the championship tees to be a formidable test but the gold tees are tame enough for beginners. Its versatility makes the golf course an excellent venue for tournaments and outings. The course can be tight in some spots, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. Lakeland Golf Club's fairways are generous and seemingly tame but they are bordered by strategically positioned bunkers. There are also meandering streams and a few lakes that come into play on a few holes.

Rough shape
I've always loved the layout here, but the course is in such rough shape these days. I could get past the shaggy fairways and tee boxes if the greens were solid, but they're quite patchy and very bumpy. Simply not worth what they charge.
Hot but pleasant
A very pleasant day at the course. Was able to play in about 3 hours and thoroughly enjoyed my round!
Wonderful course, terrible front desk reception.
I was derided for booking online. The course itself is fantastic.
Favorite
This is one of my favorite courses. The only thing they really need to improve on is rolling and perhaps cut the greens a bit shorter to speed them up. Other than that this is a very fun course to play for all levels.
I love this layout.
Anna and JD are always a great help when checking in. The carts are in real good shape. I enjoy the course and amenities.
Add it to the list!
Super fun course that eases you in then throws in strategically placed hazards to test your game from many distances. Very well maintained and staff was polite. With location so close to Kiser Lake it would be very easy to make an outdoor vacation with golf included.
