Fun Round
This is a fun layout. For my first round, I was glad I was paired with someone who was familiar with the course as there are many blind tee shots. I enjoyed the course and look forward to playing it again when the grass has grown in.
Aerated Greens
Greens are on their way back with the recent aeration. Bunkers continue to be average and fairways are improving.
Great Value Golf
Indian Hills is a great course for the money being reasonable.
Great time
This was our first time playing at the course so we were skeptical but overall we had a great time. I can say that I gave the course 4 stars for the conditions only because it’s spring and it rained like crazy the night before so there was definitely standing water. The greens were in great shape because they cover them. The pace of play was perfect even though the course was packed. We waited a few minutes one time and never felt like the group behind us was pushing us. GPS on the carts is always a plus. Staff in the club house and bar and rangers were all very nice. No complaints. I would recommend this course to a friend and will play here again.
Nice Round In March
Was a little early in the season, greens were good, fairways still dormant. Some holes are very challenging, others are easy, so difficulty was varied.
Great course
Love this course in my opinion best course in Rutherford county and not over priced
Course has some work to do
Although it’s the beginning of the year, the course was very yellow with many pits of mud. At the turn, I was hoping for a warm snack. The grill was closed at 12pm on a Saturday. This used to be my favorite course to play, but this has been an issue since last year. Will not be back soon.
Unfortunately, this course has really gone downhill. The greens are always nice, and the course layout is decent. However, the conditions here have progressively gotten worse over the last few years. The fairways look as though someone drove over them with a steamroller. Granted it's winter golf so I try and give the benefit of the doubt, but there's no grass. Its just mud. And where there is grass, it's still mud. You cannot attack irons shots from fairway lies the way you're supposed too. You're better off aiming for the rough. Due to poor management of irrigation systems, there may be 2-3 weeks out of the year that this course is actually playable. Maybe the end of July. Whichever month is driest.
First one out
I have played here a lot over the years. They had changed the course over the years to lower the maintenace burden, removed bunkers etc.. I booked this tee time as the first tee time of the day, I went out solo, this resuled in catching the greenkeepers on several holes, but all good. I did run into an elderly 4 some on the 17 green and had to wait on them on the 18. Cost me about 10 minutes and still have no idea where they came from. I rode 18 even with the dealy in 2 hours and 5 minutes. That is my type of golf.
