It was rough, not tough, just a rough course
Greens were just aerated, and I understand that has to happen, however you still charge full price when the greens and just off the greens are full of plugs and sand. The amount of sand, rendered any putting useless. The fairways were cut, however every part 4 and 5 look like they just cut the rough, and left it laying as if they were going to roll bales of hay. The amount of leftover grass and trimmings just everywhere, is unreasonable. Lost a couple golf balls that were hit into the fairway that rolled into the rough and could not find them because of the amount of grass clippings that were left laying and covered up.
Very Playable!
Great traditional type course. Not too challenging but enough variety and layout makes getting around it the first time still very enjoyable. Definitely will be back to try it again!
Course condition was fair to good, but no worse than past years. Very good value for the money.
An embarrassment to golf
Last year this course was in great condition. I don't know what they've done but the greens are terrible the fairways are patchy and the bunkers like wet beaches.
Poor Greens for Price
Greens were extremely bad with sod freshly being placed. This caused the ball to bounce a ton when putting. Beyond the greens the course was in fairly good condition. We attempted to order food via phone as instructed on the 8th tee box, but that was not ready for us when we arrived at the clubhouse causing us to wait 20 minutes before going to the back 9. The price seemed a bit steep for the quality of the course when other public courses are available.
Poor conditions for the cost
I have been playing this course a few times a year. The cost keeps going up($60) however nothing has changed to the course in 4 years. The only change was to the driving range. Now you can only hit off mats. Even though they say you can put tees in the mat, this is misleading especially for driver height. When I pay $60 or more I want to see carpet style fairways. The so called fairways are like hitting off dirt. The 9 greend need a lot of work. I rather make the drive to Greystone, Gaylord, Saddle Creek if paying those prices.
Hard winter apparently
Greens on front nine in state of repair lots of newly sodded spots and places that still needed repair
Jayson
Could be a great course. Greens were terrible. Pace of play was really slow.
Front 9 green horrible
Been playing this course now for over 2 years. I love the layout of the course but they have all but lost the greens in the front 9. The back 9 are better but still not great. Unfortunately the course is definitely not worth what they are charging for green fees and this is coming from someone that used to play this course weekly. It’s sad to see it in this shape.
Nice layout
Definitely a members course from the white tees as it’s not too long but still makes you play shots. It’s too bad about the green conditions but you can see they’re working on it. Easy to get on and really an enjoyable round.
Greens need a lot of care
The greens were rolled on Wednesday, May 24th, and there is a lot of sand and sod on them. Hopefully, they will improve over the summer.
Great layout
I play here at least twice each time I come to town to visit my daughter. I like the course, 1 because it's close to her, 2 because I can get out as a single and with the exception of a couple of times been paired with some really fun and nice people. It was a little rough this time but I understand the harsh winter can cause problems. I think greens fees should have been reduced a bit though because of the conditions..
