Nashboro Golf Club
About
Nashboro Golf Club sits just outside of Nashville's city center, and offers good times and good tests.
Nashboro Golf Club is home to a classically designed par-72 championship golf course that measures 6,887 yards; manicured Bermuda fairways give way to premium bentgrass greens. Grass aficionados will also be happy to know that the fairways and roughs both get plenty of rye grass seeds during the winter, allowing for ideal playing conditions year-round. All levels of golfer can get into the course's beauty - the fairways are lined with both mature trees and great vistas - and the strategically-placed water hazards and bunkers will also challenge seasoned golfers and novice golfers alike.
After - or before or both - a round of golf at Nashboro Golf Club, grab a round in the clubhouse's full-service bar and grill, which offers a casual vibe.

Great local course only 5 minutes from Nashville Airport
The course was in great shape and really enjoyed it. I believe has new owners and the course is really in good shape. Have seen some reviews from 3 to 4 years ago and they were not good, but this course has definitely changed alot in the past couple years.
Very nice course with good length and variety
I played Monday on a 11:32 AM hot deal. $20 for 18, cart and range balls is a great deal if you can get it. The hot deal for Nashboro gets gobbled up pretty quickly.
I like this course more each time I play it. It has nice length compared to other public courses in the area. Holes differ enough to keep the round interesting. I usually play during the week here, so pace has always been good.
Tee boxes were good. Not perfect as they were hard in places even after the buckets of rain that we've been getting. They were also sloped oddly in spots which was weird. But that was just one or two spots that I can remember. Otherwise, in pretty good shape.
Fairways looked to be in good shape. A couple of spots here and there that hackers tore up. Still, the grass was well cut and maintained. Trees line most the fairways on both sides and really need to be avoided. They were certainly the cause of most of my poor play. Water is only in play on a few holes but it can be sneaky. So watch for it, especially the creeks for ball toppers.
Despite the fact that I was a hot deal and there was some league play ongoing. The starter just gave me a cart key and didn't attempt to pair me up. I could have played alone if I wanted which was nice. I ended up playing with the other guys from golfnow though as I prefered to play with someone. Nice though, as our group had 3 carts. Really helped the pace of our play.
I left my iphone on the cart as I left. Before I drove away, I realized my error. The cart guys had already place my phone in the office. So thumbs up for honesty.
The cart paths are beat up in a few places really badly. Especially on the turn while getting back to #10. There is construction of homes ongoing as you are first arriving into the course. It's a bit annoying but hardly a problem for play. Just be careful driving into the club house.
All in all. Good experience. Great pace and price. Thank you. Recommended for all player types except the short hitting novices.
This is a nice layout with numerous tee boxes but isn't maintained very well. Maybe our current rainy weather pattern has had some effect on that?????
The golf course has a good mixture of long/short holes and a good mixture of right and left doglegs. It is fairly hilly with a lot of elevation changes. I like the challenge it presents and there are numerous tee box choices. I just wish it were conditioned better.
Best layout in Nashville.
This is without question the most challenging track in Nashville. The new greens are great, 2 or 3 of them are still a bit lumpy in spots, but the rest roll as well as any in town. If you are not an above average player, DO NOT play from the tips! It plays much longer than the yardage says on the card.
The new owners have taken great strides forward and I truly hope it continues! This could be the best golf course in Nashville, if they continue on the path they're on. Well done!
Average plus
The course has a good design with a nice amount of elevation change. The conditions are about average, the tee boxes could be better. The fairways were decent, and the greens were in good shape, quick and pretty firm. Pace of play was great on the front, about 1:45, but hit a slow group on the back and waited every shot.
I would rate this course about on par with a good muni.
Nashboro Gold Club is back and doing it Right!
Nashboro Golf Club has really stepped their game up with the new ownership and management team. The course is in excellent shape. The greens are challenging to every level of player and exciting to play. The service was fantastic. The new restaurant has great food and excellent service. This course is once again taking back it's place as one of the best in Nashville. Good luck!
Great Course!
The new owner of Nashboro has really turned this place around. The new mini-verde greens are really coming in now and they are beautiful! The course is really starting to come back into form and you will see that due to the pace of play on the weekends. Otherwise, you should go give this course another shot. You won't be disappointed!
great round
the new greens are coming in very nicely and the overall conditions of the course are better than they have been for several years
Don't Play on a Saturday
When making a tee time, ask if there's a tournament. If so, go somewhere else. Also, pack a lunch: the grill is operated independently from the course, so if you want food at the turn, they could care less.
good course
I have played here ever since I started playing over 10 years ago. The course is still nice and challenging. They made holes 10 and 11 easier by taking out some trees. The workers there have NEVER been very friendly, I have no idea why. The greens were very fast and true, most other area courses are aerated right now. So that was a very nice surprise. The fairways for the most part are still dormant and need some attention, but it is the same most everywhere right now. Overall I did enjoy myself and my group did too.
course
Greens where perfect. Pace was slow, but that was due to being paired up with a young lady that had only played three times in her whole life. Very friendly staff.
Very enjoyable and challenging. Great people!
People are very friendly and helpful! Greens
Are fast and true.
The course has very good greens.
Overall conditions were difficult to determine as the course was very wet from recent rains and the fairway grass was still dormant. The new greens were very good and drained well, balls would plug in the fairway but not even leave a ball mark on the green. I think the layout is very good and the course is well worth the fees charged. The staff was very courteous and accomodating. Overall a good experience.
Fantastic Greens
These are the best greens that I can recall playing and no ball marks. Fairways are still dormant and a rating not meaningful. Only complaints were the cart beverage holders were not clean and I looked at several carts and the practice range is not good.
Enjoyable
Enjoyed this course. Great variety of holes and greens were in amazing condition for the time of year.
great greens
The greens are in great shape. Course played well. First round of the season, really enjoyed it.
Fast greens-but consistent
Nashboro is a good course to play. For this time of year, the
course really is in good shape. They have invested in this course and the greens are very consistent and fast. Hopefully,
booking with Golfnow, Nashboro will be one of my regular golf
courses.
Nice course
Got a good price for this course on GolfNow and saved a few bucks. Nice golf carts. Tee times were backed up due to early morning frosts so we were about 45 minutes late in teeing off but they gave us free driving range balls to hit. Driving range could use a lot of work. Only about 6 places to hit from. Course was very busy and kind of chaotic to get to and off the first tee but once we did everything was good. Course was in good shape considering middle of January and after a week of heaving raining. It was cart path only and due to that and back up it was kind of slow. Course is fairly challenging and I would love to play it when it comes in. Greens were a "10" and very hard and pretty fast and very difficult to read. Entire staff was very friendly and catered to us. Would definitely play again and only reason rated 4 instead of 5 is just because of slowness and delay in teeing off.
good greens
pretty good course just a little wet. can't wait to play it in the summer time.
Chellenging Green and hole positions! Better to care too much drinking at the nice bar after fighting with the tough Greens!
Greens are quite challenging; it is like PGA tournament condition, big undulations and quite fast. For me course layout is good, well-balanced, not too tricky.
Anyway, it is important to reach on Green with as less shots
as possible, otherwise it is difficult to keep "par".
