One of the Houston area's newest courses, Cypress Lakes Golf Club was designed by Jim Fazio, who carved the course out of the thick pine trees and used a significant number of lakes and bunkers to spice up this mounded track. Four sets of tees provide options ranging from 5,351 yards to 7,024 yards at the tips. In addition to the layout, the experience at Cypress Lakes is enhanced by the impressive driving range, which is complete with target greens guarded by bunkers -- an unusual look for a basic driving range.

Course is OK
I’m not sure it’s worth the cost they are charging. Other courses at similar price points are just nicer. If you get a deal through GolfNow, it’s fine. I wouldn’t pay full price for this course though. Find a better value elsewhere.
Layout is alright, nothing too exciting, the greens are probably better in the summer. The tee boxes were horrible, though it’s the winter so they don’t grow back right now. Still. Again for $85, they could put something so it’s not just dirt. I’ll try again when it warms up to give them the benefit of the doubt, but only to see if they clean up like the photos.
Would Play Again
Staff is very friendly. Our reservation included free range balls so that was nice. Course was not bad, could use some TLC. Pace of play was slow for our round, almost 6 hours due to a group ahead of us. Overall it was a good experience.
Nice course
This is my first Time going To Cypress Lakes and I got there early and the staff was extremely helpful and was able to tee off early as the weather wasn't the greatest. But I had no issues at all on the course or with the staff. Greens were a little fast so that made it challenging which is always a fun time 😂
Pace of play
Everything about the facility is great course in great shape, greens excellent just need to work on pace of play
Holiday Traffic
Usually one of my favorite courses to play in Houston area. Lots of traffic on course due to holidays. Fairways a little rough. Greens looked like they had been impacted by recent wet weather.
First Time at Cypress Lakes
Cypress lakes provides a challenge of water and length on certain holes, it was weird to me that each tee was all sand. Greens were decent. It was worth playing for the Golf now special
Cypress Lakes
It’s been close to 2 years since I’ve played here and I was disappointed in the fairways. They have gotten pretty thin with a lot of dirt patches. Bunkers were unplayable due to the rain 3 days prior. Not sure how long they wait before adding fresh sand so I can’t fault them. Greens were decent and fast as they usually are. No starter, no cart girl, and no real bathroom. Just a port a poty and bushes to use. Perhaps they have all their attention going to Longwood.
Mediocre at best
Course was in real bad shape. Everything about the place seems outdated, carts, club house, not a good first impression. Would not play again unless hear of great improvements made.
Course dry/hard and staff not very friendly
Course was very dry and hard and needs more than rain. Staff not very friendly, we had to unplug our electric cart as attendant asked us to do. Attendant was not very busy, he just failed to do his job
