Myerlee Country Club
About
Myerlee Golf & Country Club began as the dream of a retired New York police officer who moved to Florida in the 1960s just so he could play more golf. His dream eventually became a peaceful retirement community with a beautiful 18-hole course as its centerpiece. The Arthur Hills-designed layout is one of the toughest par-60 golf courses in southwest Florida. There are two streams that cut across the course and intersect on the front nine. They snake along every hole, making water the predominant hazard but there are also several strategically placed bunkers to watch out for. The golf course is mostly open with a few cypress trees dotted along the fairways and greens. Myerlee Golf & C.C. is a course that will test your skills but it isn't overly punishing, which gives it appeal for beginners as well.

Horrible Experience
DO NOT go here. People were rude, course pace of play was horrible, we ended up leaving and getting a refund by the nice man at the clubhouse (John). He’s the only reason this review is somewhat positive. Snobby old men/women all over this course. Terrible experience.
New and Improved
Have always enjoyed playing this course when in Florida. It’s a nice, well maintained course however after the improvement that were made to the course last year, it’s even better.
Always a pleasure to play here.
speed of play
Four hours to play is a little long for this course.
Front nine was ok.
Made the turn and 4 new people were in front of us now out of no where. Over 2 hours for the back nine.
Great course
Nice executive course. Pleasantly surprised by the place as it was the first time my wife and I played there. Will definitely go back.
Coordinating tee time etc
The course did not have our reservation, I had to show my receipt and confirmation. It was for 11:32, however they did not have that for a tee time. Closest was 11:34 and we weren’t listed at all! The pro shop was very cooperative and fit us in. Please coordinate your times better.
Horrible customer service
I purchased 2 rounds for my wife and a friend. They were pleased with the course but the "gentleman" in the pro shop was very rude when they checked in. They gave him the name and tee time and confirmation number. He said "did you book this on Golf Now because we don't have you down. They showed him a printed receipt and he tried to charge them for the round at full price. They pointed out that it was paid for in full and nothing was due at the course. He grunted in disgust and said that was for 9 holes and it was not for 18 even though it was paid for 18. Then he begrudgingly allowed them to play. This is second time this has happened as it happened the last time we were there as well. I am sure this is not the type of advertising that Golf Now wants from a course.
Excellent New Greens
I have played Myerlee for years, and always liked the layout with holes from 75 to over 400 yards long. I thought it was in very decent condition, so I was suprised that they recently put $2 million into renovations. Now that I have played the renovated course, I must say, I am very impressed with the greens. Almost all now have contours which makes it more fun and challenging. They are also faster and firmer. The greens on this executive course are comparable to the best greens on high end par 72 courses. The tee boxes were also redone, as were bunkers, many of which were changed. Myerlee is now one of the best executive courses in SWFL.
