A great course at a great price, Beaver Creek delivered again.
A great course at a great price, Beaver Creek delivered again. The course was in really nice shape, though a few greens had small amounts of sand from recent upkeep. Fairways were really great, and I didn’t notice any soft/soggy spots, despite recent rain. Some bunkers were rather hard, though it’s always best to stay away from them anyway, right? Greens were a little slow due to recent rain, but they rolled true and evenly. This is my 4th time playing here, and as usual, the course delivered. Definitely worth the drive, especially given it’s GolfNow rate. Anytime this course is under $20, it’s an absolute steal.
Great shape!!!
As usual, this golf course never disappoints.... Had a couple of greens that had spots being resodded but overall it was in great shape!
Charles
Best course in south Louisiana 2 greens have bad spots everything else is first class
I wondered why it wasn't busy, now I know
I wondered why it wasn't busy, now I know. They aerated the greens with giant holes then extremely sanded the greens. Therefore the local knew not to play. I will say the rest of the course was great. It would have been nice to let golf now know so I wouldn't feel I was taken.
Greens in bad shape.
Greens are usually good here, played in Feb 2019 and were rough, not much better when played in May. Fairways and bunkers are good.
Used to be great
Beaver Creek was the best public course in the area, but something has gone wrong with the greens. barren and bumpy! impossible to play. Ruined a good round. I am saddened by the condition and hope they remedy the situation post haste!
Nice course, bad greens
Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape, sand traps are good but not great, the greens are in really bad shape and the worst I’ve ever seen them, hopefully they will get better soon!
Greens need help
Pace of play was fine. A little slow on the front nine, but not terrible. Fairways always seem to be in great shape. Bunkers could use more sand. Greens are in bad shape. Very bumpy. Will probably wait a while before returning in hopes that they get the greens back.
Greens are coming back
Fairways and tees are looking good. They lost the greens a while back due to frost but they've been re-seeded. I got a hot deal so for 18 bucks it was a good track but I would wait a month or two to play for full price. Other than the greens, Beaver Creek is always one of the Better BREC courses.
Greens Need Help!
I always like playing this course because it’s usually in great shape. They must be having some sort of problems with the greens because it’s the worst I have ever seen them, actually over the past 5-6 months they’ve been struggling. The rest of the course is in great shape and the staff was awesome as always.
One of the nicer courses in the area.
The greens aren’t in the best shape and the gnats are relentless but overall it’s a fun course to play.
Course was great, gnats were terrible
This is a pretty and challenging course that rewards good course management strategy. Short driving players should play from the white tees, as there are a few holes on the back nine where a difficult tee shot is required from the back tees. Fairways and greens were nice and in good shape. But on this day, the gnats made the course almost unplayable. There were constant, thick clouds of gnats buzzing around me on every single shot on every single hole. Staff assured me that the bug activity is highly unusual. Never seen anything like it before ever on any course I’ve ever played. Not staff’s fault, but it’s worth noting.
