Best condition for winter yet, in the 11 times I played it during the time of year
Greens are true and fast a couple have sand repair areas but are small areas, bunkers are thin but groomed.
Great first experience
I am fairly new to golf, and this was my first time playing here. Wow! The course was in great shape. Really seemed like they spend some time keeping it up. The bunkers were also well maintained; trust me, there's plenty of them and I had multiple opportunities to play from them. Had a great time and can't wait to go back!
Keep it in the fairway
Excellent course kept in great condition. Keeping it in the fairway is a must, because the rough just outside the fairways, while shorter than some, swallows balls like quicksand, making second shots difficult. Greens were very fast, and broke less than read
Nice Course Big Fairways
If your the type of golfer who sprays your driver a little bit the course really has some nice size fairways. The greens are big and the Course is fun.
Aeration Special
Greens were aerated two weeks prior to playing and were very bumpy. Actually the back nine wasn't as bad as the front. The fairways were in excellent shape and as soon as the greens come around I would like to play again.
Good Course but no GPS
The course is nice. They have a wide open feel but certain holes get tricky. They have a "swampy" type few holes towards the back. Fun section of holes to play. No GPS sucks because you think you are going to have one but nope. They need more water jugs on course and a cart girl. But good course
Great value on Father's Day
I usually play all day on Father's Day with my brother. Missed him this year but Beaver Creek made up for it. Greens in very good condition with the exception of a few. Fairways green. Could use more water stations; Louisiana is hot.
Horrible greens & worse staff
Greens were infected in almost every green. Club house clerk was extremely rude. Will spend my money else where since it wasn't appreciated. Will not play here again.
Not worth the money
Greens were horrible - literally pot-holes on the surface. Two marshals on the course not very helpful in speeding up play even after being asked. Driving range is nice, but entire course is grossly overpriced. Far better values in the area to choose from.
nice
Very nice course. Greens had lots of marks on them, but worker says it was the first time they have ever been that bad. So I'll let it slide. No maps on the scorecard, but there is a yardage book in the club house for $6. No gps on carts only for employees at the time. The kitchen was closed at the time so they only had crackers and peanuts.
JD dunaway
Overall a good day of golf but the greens need work.
Good public course
The course is pairish maintained public course. Considering the harsh winter that is unusual for this area the course is in fair shape. It is challenging with a good variety of holes.
Fun Course to Play
Played on a Friday afternoon . Staff was friendly and the course was fun to play . Will go back again for sure !
Fun for all skill level's
For the money this is probably the best place in the Baton Rouge area to play. Open fairways, large undulating greens, great practice facility, and fair for all skill levels make this a must play.
Good greens and layout
Fairly easy course with wide-open fairways and decnt sized greens. Greens are in good shape as is the entire course.
For ladies from the forward tees, it's great!
Great course for the money! The forward tees are pretty short, but that makes it fun for ladies and can make for a good score!
Nice Course, Nice Layout
The weather was not the best, but we were able to play. The course has a nice layout, with some holes having that "risk/reward". Comfortable opening hole to get started, then nice golf to get you warmed up for couple of nice holes to uncork the drive on #6 and #7 before closing out on two par able holes. The Back opens with another one of those "risk/reward" holes, keep it left for a good shot into the green, then a good par 5 to possibly go for in two. Two holes on the back or "quirky", but play your game and the last two holes are nice to score and a last chance to uncork that drive on 18, wide open and nothing but air and oppurtunity. Enjoy!!!
This course was in good shape even two days after 2+ inches of rain.
The course was in good shape. Three par 4 holes holes were cart path only because of the storm 48 hoours before I played. The rest of the course was firm and well drained. The greens were in great shape and the course was well trimmed. I would like to play this course again.
Nice course
ssome easy holes some average difficult holes and a couple of hard ones. Service was friendly and helpful. I have played this course a couple of times and found that I have not had to wait a long time while playing.
