South at Boulders Golf Club & Resort

Excellent course and layout. Marshalls have to better enforce pace of play. Pace was painful and unnecessary as groups wasting time ahead chatting in the fairway with people on the tee repeatedly. Hanging out on the tee box telling stories after they have hit while people waiting at the tee.

Well this was the second time here over the years. The last time was as pleasurable. This time had a nice foursome. Course was in very good condition and greens true and fast. I actually like the layout of the North Course, it has some holes that make it interesting and doesn’t try to kill you on every shot. Also, booked on GolfNow and for ~$80 this course was a great value. After my experience this time, I’d come here to play again.

Called the day previous to confirm no issues with the course…gentleman on the phone said course was in great shape and they would start aerificaton on the greens Monday. Showed up to the course and on the drive in notice the fairways of the south course were completely yellow and sprayed to hurry the Bermuda to go dormant (in preparation to lay rye). No notice in description on golfnow or troon website. Fortunately the guys in the proshop discounted our round, and made things right! On a brighter note, they recently reseeded the practice putting green to Bermuda and it was in the best shape I’ve ever seen it. The greens rolled pure on the south course and were reseeded to Bermuda as well almost 2 years ago and are softening up a bit but it is still quite difficult to hold. They’ve also eliminated the evasive species of grass that was popping up in the greens that had to be driving the regulars crazy.

Great place. Nearly died- only saw the beer girl 1 time.

Must play course in great condition with scenic views and challenging landscape. Played on a nice cloudy day and had a great time. Extras cost extra, haha but range is free and really I got a smoking deal so can't complain.

Amazing course, lots of fun. It’s summer in AZ so it wasn’t in perfect shape but the greens were immaculate. Summer weather evident on fairways. Looking forward to playing again!

I’ve been living in Phoenix since 1989 and have always wanted to play The Boulders but never had, until Thursday… Well it was well worth the wait!! That was one of the nicest courses that I’ve ever played, a day I won’t soon forget! I found a “hot deal” and snatched it up right away! Thank you for offering us those kinds of deals!

I had an awesome first time experience yesterday playing @ the Boulders! I had planned to play at Kierland Resort (staying there), until I came across an awesome “hot deal” that I just couldn’t pass up! One of the best courses that I’ve ever played! Just fantastic, I’ll definitely be back!!!
