Rancho Manana Golf Club has one of the prettier courses in Cave Creek-Scottsdale, located high in the Sonora and combining vistas with testing golf. It offers a par-70 championship golf course laid out over elevations that change dramatically right up alongside the untouched desert and the indigenous wildlife that comes with that, as well as an old-school dude ranch that has been incorporated into the golf resort. Low-handicap golfers will be challenged by the golf course, but it's not so tough that other levels of golfer will be turned away.

The Rancho Manana Golf Club offers golf to the public and is conveniently located just 20 minutes off the highway.

After a round of golf at the Rancho Manana Golf Club, stick around for around and maybe some eats at the Tonto Bar & Grill, which has received several awards and is listed among Arizona's top 100 restaurants.

Great course for the value

Play here regularly. course in great shape. They punched the greens about six weeks ago and they’re looking good. Even the fairways and the fringe areas are well done fair amount of shade and pace of play is very good. Great value particularly in the early afternoon.

Bald spots

Rancho Mañana has some very scenic holes. It’s a beautiful course that’s relatively short with narrow fairways. The course condition was disappointing. Most holes had completely bare areas in the fairways. (Literally down to the dirt). Way over priced for the playing condition.

From the start the staff was super friendly and had such great energy throughout the morning. Definitely worth the price for the view and it was such a fun course to play at. (For me anyway)

Fun but dry

Course is fun to play with unique holes.

They must have water issues or restrictions as fairways are brown and or lacking grass.

Greens have large burned out areas or other grasses all over the grass for the greens.

Great Day

It's summer so you know the condition of the golf course is not gonna be perfect. However it was very good and we enjoyed ourselves. We especially like the fact that we were able to play by ourselves. We were 2. And it's a very interesting golf course since it has mountains and different whole locations. Also being elevated like that, it wasn't as hot as some other golf courses in the area. I would definitely recommend this to France. My favorite part was the pace of golf was good and they allowed us to deploy just the two of us in our group

A challenging GC in Cave Creek

If you’re looking for to play in a desert, bit challenging GC for amateurs, this is a good one to play. A hint, bring few extra golf balls, just in case you miss the fairways sometimes.

Great layout

Great layout with lots of elevated and blind tee shots requiring less than driver. Fun to play. Unfortunately the conditions of the course was not good. Greens were spotty and bumpy. Tee boxes were rough and fairways were in need of some grass. With that being said, price was reasonable and had a lot of fun playing from the elevated tees. Also great views.

Always enjoy

Greens have recovered nicely from aeration. A lot of courses fairways are struggling this year, Rancho is doing something about it, aerating fairways instead of just over watering like most of the other courses.

Views were really nice.

Parts of the course looked like it was not being watered. Greens were small but ball marks kept the ball on the green. Burger at the turn could have been better (tasted microwaved).

It can make a grown man cry.

Hole #4 is steep and the ball will roll back so far you will end up 20 yards behind where you started, shoot. Aim 20 yards farther than you think.

This is a beautiful course and my favorite in AZ.

The par 3’s the best!

The 18 birdies app really helps with all the blind doglegs.

The staff are awesome. No computers on the carts so use this app.

QURKIE BUT FUN

I found this course to be a lot of fun, mostly because I hit the ball very very straight.some of the tightest driving course ever. winding thru the mountains, holes 45 degrees below you. the fairway and greens are in poor shape hard to find grass in the fairway and the greens were in need of water and fertilizer. very short course that will test your abilities.

Worth a shot.

Rancho Manana

The course is fun to play and plays at a nice pace. Everything is pretty dry and the greens have been punched recently. Bumpy greens that make it hard to make quality putts, otherwise it was a nice course.

Rough greens

They recently punched the greens and they were in very rough shape. Spike marks all over and bit the rest of the course was very good! But pace of play was slow for late afternoon and I had to pass to separate that would not wave up a single player that started 25 minutes behind both twosome groups. Still love the place but do better..

solid course

Good course with a little bit of target golf on some holes, bit of a country club feel as well,l but then others are open. pace of place a bit slow (could have somebody moving people along) during the course but it’s in good shape. They just punched and aireated the greens so a bit bumpy …not too busy in early till late afternoon.
