Rancho Manana Golf Club
About
Rancho Manana Golf Club has one of the prettier courses in Cave Creek-Scottsdale, located high in the Sonora and combining vistas with testing golf. It offers a par-70 championship golf course laid out over elevations that change dramatically right up alongside the untouched desert and the indigenous wildlife that comes with that, as well as an old-school dude ranch that has been incorporated into the golf resort. Low-handicap golfers will be challenged by the golf course, but it's not so tough that other levels of golfer will be turned away.
The Rancho Manana Golf Club offers golf to the public and is conveniently located just 20 minutes off the highway.
After a round of golf at the Rancho Manana Golf Club, stick around for around and maybe some eats at the Tonto Bar & Grill, which has received several awards and is listed among Arizona's top 100 restaurants.

A Skill Builder
My son and I play this course twice a month. It plays trickier than designed. You will lose balls. Course, even in late summer, is in good shape. Very fun elevation changes. Cart paths can be a bit of a labyrinth. Great value after playing area courses Troon North, TPC Scottsdale, Boulders and Legend Trail. Starter and marshals make you feel welcome.
Fun Course
This is a super fun course with lots of elevation changes.
You don’t find too many courses like this in Phoenix.
The course is well maintained, and they had “cold” water stations at every other hole. Summer prices make this course a real deal if you can take the heat
Nice tract
This was our first time playing this course , we were amazed at the scenery . The course was well maintained ; bunkers were well trimmed , but could use sand . There were some sun burned grass , but that is to be expected in Arizona in August . The greens were small but played well . This course plays around 6000 yards from the tips , but don’t be fooled the steepness of several holes will easily add about 300 yards . This is a fun course , but bring some extra balls . We will be back
Tight course
Friendly staff, pace of play was perfect, I chose 4 stars on course condition only due to being Summertime. They did a great job keeping the course in very good shape for the summer heat.
Nice but...
This course has so much potential with spectacular views and a generally medium challenge track, The greens were a bit bumpy and had some irregular grass. I guess the course is out of room, but some of the holes are just too short even from the tips. With some TLC for the greens and tee boxes, this course could be even better,
The staff is always very friendly and helpful!
Local knowledge is key
Played this course and enjoyed the round. Played as a solo and had a couple foursomes in front of me that were happy to let me play through. Got around in about three hours. The course was in great shape especially for how dry it has been this summer. Lots of blind shots and crazy elevation changes. If you are not super accurate off the tee, bring a bunch of balls with you. Overall enjoyable experience and will bring friends from out of town here as the views are awesome!
Bumpy greens
Other than the slow bumpy greens, course was in good summer condition. Staff is great. Water coolers were cold and plentiful.
WOW!
First time playing here and it reminded me a lot of Quintero. Lots of elevation changes that are 1 or 2 club differences. Fun and challenging and every member of the staff we encountered were great! Also really liked the “Tip Sheet” to give you an edge on each hole. Will definitely play again.
Challenging and fun.
August round, summer greens and fairways. Bunkers in good shape. Most Tee boxes looking nice. Staff was very friendly for our 1st time, always appreciated. We enjoyed ourselves green fees reasonable. The hints on the scorecard were helpful. Marshall was seen multiple times.
Each hole is different, not too long however some play up the mountains making your approach shots tougher. Difficult to choose lines on your 1st round here. Was easy to club down off the tees to set up the 2nd shots. Course management will save you a few strokes and maybe a few balls.
A smaller, greener version of Quintero.
Fourth time to play Rancho Manana. The first green this time was very heat stressed, but the rest of the greens were in decent condition. Nice to have #16 back in service after the bad washout. Everything else was in order. Will return to play again at some point.
Rancho manana
Typical arizona summer greens bumpy and a little sparse. overall the course is in good shape group in front of us was pretty slow so took about 4.5 hours. A Marshall could have helped out. Beverage person was very good and attentive Good course have to think a little bit some very good holes will definitely play it. Again
