About
Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Golfer Reviews
Eamon
Friendly staff in the clubhouse and starter made my wife and I extremely welcome. Course was in excellent condition - a joy to play with lush fairways and perfect greens. Best course we played on and exceptional vfm. Highly recommend that you play it if you can.
New owner is sinking some $ into the course
Noticed this weekend that they are rearranging soil and bringing in rock to shore up the lakes at #2, #3, and #4. Over the years, the carp have kept undercutting the edges that then fall into the lakes. You could see old sprinklers that rise up out of the ground well out in the lake. Must have cost them 12 feet of fairway width on #4. Generally, the course is in very good shape except for some bunkers. I like the way it is being run and the staff but it will cost more this year to play. Nothing new there I guess. Same all over the valley.
Wet Conditions After Rain
The course was really wet and had a couple rivers of water running through it after the rains we've had. I'm sure it's dried up by now (2 days later). Course is in solid shape. Greens were good, fairways good. Overall I'd rate this course 4 out of 5 the weather wasn't the courses fault. It's a nice layout and has beautiful views of the Superstition Mountains. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the course. I play here several times a year and will continue to.
Excellent course conditions
We were impressed with the course conditions. Everything was lush and green. Fairways were perfect t no dead areas. Greens were well kept. Definitely worth it to play. The upkeep during the hot AZ weather made the course look like it was springtime.
Gold Canyon Gorgeous
The golf course is in great shape and the views are beautiful. This course is at near the Superstition Mountains. The price for 18 holes and a cart is very reasonable. The only drawback is the pace of play. Being in Gold Canyon you have a good portion of higher age folks that just can’t play at a quick pace. Expect a 4.0 hour or higher round.
Mountain Brook
First time playing this course and it was worth the one hour drive from the west valley. Course conditions were very good, from tee to green, especially for the middle of summer. The views from this course are fantastic, with the Superstition Mountains in the background. Staff was great, friendly and welcoming. The course was fun to play, good layout and enough variety to keep your interest. There were easy holes and challenging holes, but overall a course you could play often and enjoy each time.
