About
Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Golfer Reviews
Noice
First time player. It seemed like a links course disguised as a desert course. Only a couple of navigable water holes. Perfect bunker placement in the fairways and near the greens. Made you think hard about club choice. Wind is either straight or comin in at a 90*., which made playing the wind very predictable.
Chill staff and cool amenities. Starter/bag dudes were very friendly and helpful.
Started on the 10th and the course was in great shape. Great fairway undulations. Greens had decent ones as well. Typical AZ sand bunkers. Better off trying to pick the ball. A little soggy in very few spots. Well marked improvements were unobtrusive. New owners are doing a lot of great work.
Greens a tiny bumpy still but were consistent. Gotta hit it.
All in all wellll worth the money!
Best course during the summer
This is the best course on the east side to play during the summer. the course conditions are actually very good and you can get tee times for $20. greens were aerated june 28 and the conditions are good. a little slow but fresh grass everywhere
Always pleasant
This course is a sleeper. Played a round in 3:30 on a Sunday. About a month out from overseed and course is in great condition. Some greens were a tad slow but that’s about it
Great Course
It was the first time playing Mountain Brook and had a great time. Very friendly checkin and the course was in great shape. The greens were in better shape than expected aine aeration. I recommend playing and will play again.
Course is in fantastic shape
Booked a mid morning hot deal as a single. Was stuck behind a threesome who was behind two foursomes so pace of play was really slow. Residents in front me never offered me to play through. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were all in really good shape. Management company is doing a good job putting money back into the course.
Good course
Played the course in July as a 4some in under 4 hours. Honestly best course we've played since moving here in terms of conditions. Way more green than some of the big name courses in Arizona. Approach shots are fairly difficult with lots of bunkers and angulation around greens. Not a long course at all and no drastic elevation changes but pretty scenery in background. Definitely would recommend for cheaper course but good conditions and enjoyable day.
Aeration was completed a few weeks ago on the greens
Still a bit bumpy. Will like to see when they are rolling true
Playing like it's hot outside
Definitely had a good time. Front desk was OK. Cart girl was nice. Courses were wide so no hitting houses this time. Water hazard sucked with side wind. Definitely lost some balls there. I would recommend this to anyone.
Careful with the greens
Very nice course overall. Beautiful views of the superstitions. Play was overshadowed by glaringly bad greens. Bumps and dead spots on every one.
