About
The Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 1997. The par-72 golf course measures 7,145 yards from the tournament tees. "I enjoy designing golf courses that celebrate the sheer fun of golf," Palmer said about this course, "and Wildfire is exactly that."
The Bermuda grass Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is one of two championship courses at the club. It features a GPS option that offers golfers detailed mapping of the Faldo and Palmer courses, precise yardages for tee shots and approach shots to the greens, and the chance to order breakfast and lunch from the golf cart. Additional features include communication with the golf shop, a CBS Sportsline ticker with all scores 24 hours a day, and the leader board for tournaments. Its sibling, the Faldo golf course, also features the system.

Wildfire - Palmer
Range was thin, obviously get a lot of play. Range balls were disappointing and extremely used. Staff was friendly, drink prices were fair, pace of play was very good for a Saturday. Greens are the best feature of the Palmer, pleasantly surprised with the speed and condition…well done by the Super and staff. Paid $250ish for the weekend round, certainly about on pace for the price in Scottsdale these days.
Awesome golf course!!
Wow, this course was stunning… conditions were some of the best I’ve ever seen. Greens were perfect and ran like GLASS! Good variety amongst the holes, and the course is quite flat. Great views of surrounding mountains and so much wildlife around! Felt like a safari at times, and you really felt like you were on the edge of a desert. Pace of play was quite slow, as you’d expect here at this time of year, so we didn’t manage to get the full 18 in. Still, well worth the money and I’d recommend anyone to play here!
Nice experience
Palmer course was in good shape and weather was spectacular. Teed at 2:40 and just made last hole before darkness.

Beautiful golf course. Fairways and green excellent condition. Greens held balls hit from the fairway and greens putted fairly fast. I will be back to play the Faldo!

Tee off 2:10. Sunset 5:45. Only played 15 holes
due to very slow foursome ahead of us. 3 holes in front of them open. NO ranger.

Great Palmer Course
Really enjoyed this course. Disappointed that we did not get off on time as the delay caused us to finish after sundown so it got cold quickly. The conditions are great. The layout is nice. Although it advertises easy to hit the fairways, watch line up off tee boxes to the wide parts of the fairway. Getting off the grass can leave tough shots!
Wildfire - Palmer course
Lots of forced carries to reach fairway. Several blind washes especially on the par fives. Basically a course for low handicap players.
