About
The Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 1997. The par-72 golf course measures 7,145 yards from the tournament tees. "I enjoy designing golf courses that celebrate the sheer fun of golf," Palmer said about this course, "and Wildfire is exactly that."
The Bermuda grass Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is one of two championship courses at the club. It features a GPS option that offers golfers detailed mapping of the Faldo and Palmer courses, precise yardages for tee shots and approach shots to the greens, and the chance to order breakfast and lunch from the golf cart. Additional features include communication with the golf shop, a CBS Sportsline ticker with all scores 24 hours a day, and the leader board for tournaments. Its sibling, the Faldo golf course, also features the system.

Arizona Golf at it's Finest
I stayed at the JW Marriott resort in Phoenix and had an amazing time.
The Palmer course is in excellent condition. I played the Faldo course only once because of the greens being punched, but I really loved the layout!
When the greens finally come around probably in about 2 more weeks, this course will be awesome!!!
Never disappoints
As usual the course was in great shape, greens rolled true, bunkers were raked and soft ty maintenance crew did a great job getting the course back on track after the recent monsoon.
$12 for parking?
Course was in excellent condition. If you are not in the fairway, kiss your chances of a good score good bye. We had a novice 4-some in front of us on the back 9, which didn’t make for fun golf but we survived it. Would’ve liked to see a ranger on the course to move things along but it’s off season and that’s not likely. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, especially the starter Bill. Can’t believe they make you pay for parking!!!
Great Course & Great Condition
So this was my first time playing here. The course was in almost perfect shape, even for summer. If I was to be absolutely critical, the only imperfection were the traps were a little crusty and needed raking. But two nights before a huge thunderstorm hit it with flooding. And the USB didn’t work in the cart. Despite this, this course is probably in the best shape of any course around. Greens rolled nice, GPS yardage in cart, the cart lady was fantastic, and staff at the curb were courteous. I would definitely play here again. 😀
Never Disappoints
We stay at the time share side of the development so I get a chance to play the Faldo and Palmer course every summer. If you come in July one or the other will probably be closed for aeration and maintenance. The courses are always in great shape, and you can tell care is taken to maintain high standards even in the summer offseason. Paying $59 for a course of this quality is special. Even after being aerated the course is in very playable condition although the greens will roll a little slower and with less play then during the high season. I would highly recommend this course if you can handle the heat!!!!
