What a gem to play....excellent mountain vistas frame so many holes

Great day of golfing, perfect conditions and beautiful scenary. The clubhouse restaurant also looked very nice, didn't have time to check it out.

Have played Tonto Verde several times and it has always been a great golfing experience. There are many great courses in the Scottsdale area that for a $100 more per round might have a slight edge condition wise on Tonto. I have played most of them and for my money Tonto gives the best customer service and provides a total golf experience that for the money can't be matched. You walk on the property and the staff makes sure you feel welcome.

It was a long drive from Sun City West, but it was well worth it. The course was on par with some of the private courses I have played, ie Blackstone, and at half the member guest fee of the private course. Hope to get back and try the other 18 hole course.

I would recommend this course for more advanced players. Great Club atmosphere and always a good game to be had with a member or two.

Unfortunately we got behind 4 members who played very slow. At 4 hours with 4 holes left to play we had to quit since we had other plans. As we passed the 4 people in front of us and proceeded to club house we saw that the group in front of us were 3 holes behind the group that teed off in front of them.

We played Peaks & Ranch 3 times in last week. Could not get enough! Tees fairways & greens all excellent. A local told us they were not quite as fast as normal, but coming from Northwest these were perfect. Great value from Golfnow.

Played TPC Scottsdale stadium the day before and this course blew it away for a fraction of the price. Greens were in great shape. Only average part of the course was the rough. Highly recommend for a solid challenge.

Enjoyed a fabulous round at Tonto Verde in November. Nobody in front, nobody behind. Finished 18, then went around again. Great value at $65 golf now discount rate.
The only drawback was that the restaurant was not open for breakfast when we go there (7:30am), and unfortunately the cart didn't mKe it around during our first round.

All other golfers we're very courteous too. Fairways were like carpet. Greens, not super fast, kind of soft, but no ball marks, (thank you golfers), and true, and no diseased or brown parts. Hardly any water, but nasty fairway bunkers, so course management kept my score down. $65 was a great price for this quality course, that made the scenic 30 minute drive from Scottsdale we'll worth it. A great single player from Minnesota joined us at 11, as we started to slow up a bit, when the 2 couples in front joined up after 9 to make a foursome, but then the timing was perfect, and we played in 4 hours on the nose.

I took a first time golfer with me and we still were able to have a fairly good pace of play.
Greens were consistent through all 18 holes. I was very impressed with the overall condition of the course.
Very good value for the money.

Interesting course in great condition. With established landscaping. Fun from the blues. Blacks are only a little over 6700 yards. Great for my wife who played from the golds. She's good, but not very long off the tee and the course set up perfectly for her. A couple short par 4's required care off the tee. Par 5's were generally 3 shot holes. Marshalls made sure the pace was at 4 hours or under. We played in 3 hours 45 minutes. A nice clubhouse with a very good restaurant. Views of the nearby mountains were gorgeous. This course goes to the top of my list for my next trip to Phoenix.

Obviously I like the course but I was surprised this time when they let us out in three carts. A couple, myself and another golfer with his 9 year old daughter driving the cart. They were nice folks but I found the entourage distracting and not what I expect of a first class golf club like Tonto Verde!

Lived here over five years and never played Tonto Verde until yesterday. Very pleasantly surprised and will play again. Great shape and a good value.

We finished the course in less than 4 hours but the marshall hassled us on several occasions to speed up. At one point he said were we 3 minutes behind where we should be,. No reason for it as there was no one in front or behind us. The guys got very upset and tried to rush, Lots of golf courses to spend your money at - don't waste it here.

Course was in good shape but it was cart path only play. This really slowed down play. Guy at the bag drop was not friendly but the guy at the pro shop counter was ok. Course has narrow fairways and this being the first time playing it I was guessing a lot on where to hit the ball and where to miss at. With all of the courses down here I will just play a different one.

The course has a great layout as well as it is in pristine condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful and all the components of a fun round are there for every player.

During reseeding, fairways were decent but green a bit inconsistent on speed.

Good layout and a good outing. However, there are no holes that stood up significantly.

Great value and good course in good condition for time of year. Will play again on next trip to area. Would recommend to friends.
