El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Conquistador Course

Nice course but a little pricey for the quality but that seems the direction golf prices are going. Good layout, fair for most golfers. I would play it again after trying the Canada course which we were told was nicer.

My wife and I got paired with a couple local guys that were a blast to be around. Without them, the day would have been very enjoyable but they made it even better. This course was in great shape, was quite challenging but pars and birdies were possible. Although the greens had a very light coating of sand (maybe a couple days prior), they rolled true and were fairly quick given the sanded condition.

Overall the course was in decent shape.

Pace was just over 4 hours for the round.

Unfortunately they had just put a coat of sand on the greens recently so they were sandy and had quite a few pebbles on them.

I wish I had been made aware of this before I booked my round as I would have waited a week or so to play my round.

16 handicapper here. I found tee to green was great! Greens were way tougher than La Canada. For my game La Canada a better fit.

The course was in fair condition, a little rough around the edges, but quite playable, made more so by a delightful local couple who steered us away from trouble. Pace slowed down at end of round.

All good but greens were too tough for my game. 17 handicapper.

First time at this course. No map on scorecard so there were a few holes that I would play differently. No GPS on carts either. Course is mostly surrounded with housing. Fairways are plentiful and greens were in very good condition.

Plan on a 5 hour round with no Ranger in sight. Canada course in better shape but still 5 hour round. Range was packed and had to wait for a stall No grass on range, basically hitting off dirt.

Had a great time. Course was in great shape as usual. Only issue was the group behind us hitting into us three times.

Played Conquistador course while in Tucson on vacation. We had played this once last year. Course was in great shape throughout. Paired up with great local guy. Value is great at the two El Conquistador courses. Restaurant open with construction going on in building. They no longer allow carts in parking lot, so be sure to drop them off.
