Mike Dasher's Highlands Reserve (opened 1998) is suggestive and irresistible. The course sits on the edge of a long sand shelf called the Green Swamp Ridge near the town of Davenport, spanning 120 feet from top to bottom. Dasher's holes fairly dance around it, two-stepping from a high point at the first green all the way to the low basin of the 13th fairway.

You will find pine tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas, open spacious fairways likened to the great Scottish courses, and a bit of old Florida with citrus trees along the countryside.

HR is always a good time

Course is in really good shape, with the exception of a couple holes that have a little bit of washout around the green. The greens are in great shape as is the rest of the course tee to green. Staff is always friendly as well.

No cold water to be had

The course lay out is OK and the conditions are fine. The issue is that the don’t have coolers on the carts so whatever you buy gets warm immediately. Also the water in the coolers on the course had no ice. This is unacceptable in 90 plus weather. The other courses that we played had cart coolers and cold water throughout the course. We will not be coming back.

Course is in great shape with slow greens

Course is in great shape considering all the rain we have been getting. The greens are shaggy and slow as crap. But overall, the course was nice. Staff is always super friendly.

Walk well deserved

Highland Reserve is a nice and challenging course. They were conducting Maintenace around the greens on several holes. That made you concentrate and hit the middle of the greens. Overall nice course we will definitely be back.

This is a fun course and not a typical flat Florida course.

Greens are true but a different type of grass . They take the sun and heat . They just need to fix around the greens that are rough!

Fun course and at a great price.

Fun round of golf and staff was very friendly! Pace of play was great, never being help up all evening. Greens putted a little on the slower side but were in great condition overall. Great value for the money and I would definitely recommend this course!
