scenic view
I like this course because it's not very many tourists maybe because it's away from the beaches. I would play here again when the golf courses at the Gulf Shores area are pack with tourists waiting 5 to 10 minutes on every hole.
They have wonderful food selection on the menu on hole 19, they have clean bathrooms, and the guy at the pro shop was nice, he let me tee off 10 minutes early.
Book Your Tee Times On Line
When I checked in at the club house, I was charged $54. When I mentioned the on line rate and that I had booked my tee time on line, I was charged $34. That's a difference for a couple of beers and a pizza. I was disappointed by the difficulty to find the yardage markers. There may have been a white 150 yard mark on the cart path and I found a blue 200 yard marker once. For the 1st timer on this course, those would have been pretty helpful. Yeah I know, you're gonna say use a range finder. They burn time on the course. I've had groups, groups mind you, checking and rechecking yardage and then going back to their carts for a club selection and then finally taking the shot, only to miss left or right or worst yet, not hitting the right club per the range finder's yardage. I would play there again.
Beautiful scenery but.....
The scenery around the course was beautiful but the greens were scalped fairways were dry and hard.
Great time at Timbercreek
We had a good time at Timbercreek. Staff was great. Course was in good condition.
Needs work
A great layout, but the course obviously could use a serious infusion of cash! Broken concrete, aging wood structures, several greens in bad need of TLC. Would like to have played it 20 years ago.
Course is in poor shape. Greens are in terrible shape. Sand traps have very little sand.
Super staff
Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Don’t know that January is a fair time to review course conditions but would love to come back in late March or April and compare.
Friends day of golf
Beautiful day for golf and even though there were recent rains this course was in great condition. Pace of play was pretty good considering lots of golfers! Definitely a challenging course.
Enjoyed the course and the gentleman I hiked up with. Had a good time. A bit of a snafu getting teed off.
