Best local course
Gainesville Fl has only 2 public access courses... There are courses about 30-40 miles away but is the best local course by a long shot... Greens are in great shape-- Could use some cleaner sand in the bunkers-- Fairways are grassy enough for a good lie--- I recommend it strongly !!
Great course!
Great course for the price! Greens are well kept and the layout is fun and challenging!
Great place
Great course and super friendly staff! I had an 850 AM tee time. My nephew was over 30 minutes late. They got us on the course no problem! Course looks great for January!
Conditions were pretty bad - slowest greens I have ever played.
The course is Okay, the fairways were not great but Okay. The greens were good.
Nice course but could be better
Nice course, tight layout, grounds crew doesn’t seem to care about players as they turned sprinklers on while we were playing. Sand traps need significant amount of work and sand added. They are unsafe to play out of. Some sand traps around the greens and in fairways were overgrown with grass and makes the course easy for the elderly.
Trees need trimming to let sunlight on some greens and tees.
Driving range is nice addition. They skimped on creating one large concrete pad from one side to the other and just put 6x6 pads down. Now in between pads it is dirt!! Would be nice if they had better range balls. But for $5 a bucket you can’t expect much. Nets and lights to hit at night would be awesome!!
Staff was friendly. Bar and grill is nice touch and very active.
Course is in great shape
This was my first time playing Turkey Creek since it reopened. They’ve done a great job getting the course in shape. The layout is a lot of fun, wooded and challenging and winding through the neighborhood. Play was slow because of a foursome of older gentlemen that held everyone up, so the round took about 30 longer than it should have. But I’ll definitely play this course on a regular basis. It’s the best public course in the Gainesville area without a doubt.
