Golfer Reviews
Coming along strong
Greens are improving rapidly. In the local area only Bostick and Hawkstone are better.
Great practice facility and 19th hole is convenient with good food.
Enjoyable layout.
Tree limbs growing out into fairway need to be cut back.
Surprise secret
The story of this course is great. Was a pleasant surprise and will continue to play the course. Wishing them the best in their journey to make it.
The course has a good variety of holes and good practice area
The course has large greens with character. They were a little slow but we have had a lot of rain lately ..Will definitely play this course again .
Good condition
Course was in good condition. Greens were good. Was down visiting my niece and it was down the street. Course layout was a little too straight for me but I guess it was a good challenge to hit straight! Staff was friendly.
After Storm and heavy rain
Course was depending on the weather b4 and time if the year in good shape.
Pace of play was lame, we had the tee time after the monday mafia, couldnt make it earlier. They left after hole 15 and than it went quick. Nobody left in front of us.
Fun
Course was fun and decent for winter golf. Fairways are a little thin, but tee boxes/greens were lush and good condition. Course layout was on the simple side, and friendly for beginner golfers (my wife) I felt.
Recovering nicely
Course continues to be improved. Hard work by property owners is paying off. Greens are nice and roll fairly well with overseeded rye. Fairways are rough in spots but effort to raise the tree canopy will improve growth on the fairways as the spring season progresses. As a past member (1976-1990) it is fun to play this course again.
Much Improved
Played Turkey Creek ten months ago, and the conditions were poor at best. This time the greens and collars had been overseeded, and even the greens were slow, they were in great shape and rolled true. The fairways were still a little sparse in places, but could always find some grass to hit from. Glad that the club is investing in improvements as Gainesville needs some better golf options for sure.
