CLOSED-FINALLY
Finally closed this dump. Should have happened a year ago. It’s a shame for the people out of work but the owner clearly doesn’t care. Good riddance
High potential, course neglected.
Greens neglected with many invasive grasses and weeds. Bunkers unkempt with grass and weeds. Not raked and no rakes available. Fairways O.K. but cut tall. Any ball hit off fairway likely lost. The game I played there cannot be called golf. It's too bad because I liked the course when it was maintained better.
Needs a face lift
Great course layout and it could be a great course if someone came invested a few million dollars, but: a lot of whole on most of the greens (holes from balls and animals), sand traps were either filled with weeds or they were like concrete, grass on the fairway is much higher than normal courses.
The Death of the Blue Color Golf Club
Just another example of how the middle class are being destroyed in the great reset ! The course is in such bad shape it was like playing on a literal Goat Ranch. Clearly they have no Money for maintenance weeds throughout greens and bunkers while fairways are sand and weeds I was so sad to see how badly this beautiful layout has been neglected. I assume it’s only a short time until this club closes just as many clubs (Blue Collar) have in the past 10 years .
Read the reviews, believe the reviews.
Every staff member I met was very friendly, both of them. The greens are like how I used to like my women, bumpy and fast. Every hole is like a game of plinko. Most fairways are over grown, a few were at least cut. When you have over grown greenside bumkers, that really says it all. Too bad, layout is great.
Course needs attention.
Fairways are O.K. Greens are spotty, but improving. Ball marks go unrepaired, but that's on golfers, not management. Bunkers receive NO attention. Grass and weeds are growing in them, never raked or cleaned and no rakes are available for golfers. Some bunkers are more like gravel pits.
Declining
The decline continues, Course condition is abysmal. From fairways to greens to bunkers the course neglect is evident. Green approaches are similar to rough on several holes.
Lost on the fringe
Great location & staff. However I’m a beginner and I spent more time looking for normally playable golf balls just off the fairway due to lack of mowing and up keep.
I guarantee you what you’re saving in man hours you’re loosing in mower blades hitting golf balls.
The good; dry, wildlife, scenery, ease in on & out.
The bad: tee boxes & weeds on greens causing speed bumps and lane changes on puts.
Absolute garbage course
Got a hot deal for 102 dollars for three. The course was in such disgusting conditions i couldn't fathom how it got this way. The bunkers have weeds growing the greens hadn't been mown, the weeds on the green were taller than the grass in the rough. The course was the worst course I've ever stepped foot on in 27 years of playing golf. I'm a PGA pro and golf academy of America grad so I know what I'm talking about and for them to not say anything in the pro shop about it's disrepair is absolutely disrespectful.
Course has gotten WAY better in the last few months. There was a time a couple months ago that the course was TERRIBLE, but they have definitely made drastic improvements to fairways and greens. Some tee boxes are still rough, but overall they have come a long and I hope they continue to make progress In the right direction.
Potential untapped
I like the layout of this course. There are nice changes in elevation, several natural water hazards consisting of ponds and streams, trees that force accuracy and/or shot-shaping, and well placed bunkers. The problem is that maintenance priorities are questionable. In particular, bunkers are completely untended. I have played this course almost weekly over the past year, and have watched the bunkers deteriorate over that time. They are not raked and no rakes are on site for players to use. Many are becoming overgrown with grass and weeds, and all of them are full of footprints, dried rivulets from rain, and gravel from erosion
Getting Better
I have seen this course at its best and I have seen this course at its worst. A few weeks ago was one of the worst times I've seen this course and I almost decided to never go back. That has now changed. They are definitely making headway in the maintenance area. I don't know what the equipment issues where in the recent past but that seems to be over as the course is being mowed again. They did recently aerate the greens and I wish they would have communicated that better but I still appreciate that they did it. I think things are getting better and I'm would take advantage before others realize it. Back to having faith is this old girl!
Don’t waste your money
Absolutely horrible conditions. Don’t waste your money! Thought it might be worth playing on a Saturday morning. Haven’t played the course in a year. It has gotten even worse than before. Stupid tax paying $36 dollars to play this course. Golf now should give us our money back. Shame to let such a nice course go to such a state. Back nine worse that front nine.
Great layout
Would be a great course to play with better conditions
