Glad To See You Open!
I have played the course three times in the last three weeks. Congratulations to all for the hard work and time you have put in to get this course up and running again. I know it will get nothing but better. THE COURSE IS NOT IN GARMIN'S MOST RECENT SOFTWARE UPDATE. That would be helpful, if you could reach out to Garmin. I'll be back!
Not my cup of tea.
I prefer walking to riding in a cart, but this course is one of the least friendly to walkers that I have encountered, so after walking it once I took to riding in a cart. On several of the holes, golfers get treated to a Parade of Homes, as it is necessary travel on more than a block of residential street between the green and the next tee. The last time I played this course, at the beginning of September, the greens were horrible, particularly on the back nine. There was a lot of sand but little grass, so we agreed to a two-putt local rule. This is my least favorite course in the area, and will go back only as a last resort. There is a dearth of golf courses in the Gainesville area, so I do truly hope that the conditions of the course can be improved.
First time playing course
Today was my first time playing the course. Staff was very friendly. It just opened up so the overall greens conditions are still not ideal, but they are working hard to keep improving them. It was a great layout and I will definitely be going back!
Good course
Gainesville is a terrible golf area,, but this course is pretty good value for the mony
Getting Better
Is course is coming along fine. Wet conditions are plaguing all of north central Florida so don’t be surprised if it’s cart path only .The facility is working hard on the golf course and it shows greens need a little work but that’s understandable due to weather.
terrible greens
I believe this is a community owned course, it's in rough shape. Many of the greens didn't have grass, so the sand that was in place, was just being washed out from the rains. No water coolers or ice were available. Greenside bunkers were dirt, no surprise at that rate. Rough could be thick, just an notice, it is rough after all ! Maybe go for the driving range and practice, not a place for a good round.
Has seen its better days
I’ve played this course several times over the last 6 months. Usually it is in good shape. However, today the course was rough. We were happy with 2 greens out of 18, all the others had dips, holes, and filled with sand. Very disappointed in this course today and especially the fact that they charge full price with the course in this shape.
On the plus side, the pace of play was good and I do really like the course layout.
Turkey Creek
Course was still quite wet. Greens are poor to terrible and weeds are everywhere.
Good Value, Good Course
A few sandy greens, a couple soggy areas missed by grounds team with no indicators. But we’ll designed course with great clubhouse. Golfnow Hotdeal is a great value.
Getting Better
The course is getting better but the greens are almost unplayable in this condition. Things were smooth at first but once we came to no. 6 it was a dead stop. The next three holes took 30 minutes each and no ranger in site. A foursome ahead had four groups piled up at no. 9 tee box. Quit after 9 because no confidence in the course solving the problem.
Was it under the old name?
