Great course, friendly staff

The layout is fun, but very tight. Practice facilities were great, although the mats on the range were quite dirty and did a great job of coating my clubs with mud (must have been wet from morning dew). The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff in both the pro shop and 19th hole was more than adequate and is a large factor in why I will return to turkey creek for another round.

My understanding is that this course was just recently reopened after being closed for several years. That probably explains why it was not in the excellent shape most Florida courses usually are. The fairways still need to fill in a good bit with good grass. The greens were really slow because they were still recovering and not cut close. The course does have potential and could be really nice with some TLC. To me, the price was too high for a course in its current condition.

Every time we play, residents are working on the course. Beautiful layout, great staff, great restaurant. It’s in my group’s regular rotation. It was our new fourth’s first time. He used the on-course restroom and came back astonished. “That’s the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen on a golf course.” He’s been playing for 40+ years. Lol
