Course not busy
With golf course quite open that day, pace of play I enjoyed. The course still had holes being repaired but overall it was manageable and enjoyed the round.
Thank you for your review. During the Winter, the grass is dormant and does not grow under a certain temperature. Thus, when we receive rainy weather for extended periods of time, it takes much longer for the course to dry out as compared to when it's the warmer season. It can take several days or weeks to fully dry from heavy rains.

First time
This is a nice easy course with little elevation change. Would be a fine course to walk. Holes were pretty basic, straight shots. Only "tough" holes were ones in the back nine that had a creek going thru the middle that you had to navigate. Otherwise, a pretty easy and enjoyable course to play.

Cant give 5*
A solid 4*. But, it hadn't rained in days and they still had cart path only on all holes, All par 3s tee boxes closed and had to hit up and on a mat. The carts had to be returned at 4;45. The fairways, greens and bunkers were all in very good condition.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback. Last week we received several inches of rain which is why carts were restricted to Cart Path Only. During the colder months, when the grass is not growing, it takes several days if not weeks for the course to dry out in order to allow carts to drive off the path. Our goal is to protect the grass as much as possible during the Winter months to allow for great playing conditions in the Spring. Regarding the Par 3's, the golf course is in Winter setup. This means Par 3 tee boxes are on artificial mats. We do this to keep the tee boxes in good shape during the off season. Par 3's experience the most divot wear and tear. Because of this, we offer Winter rates Dec.-Feb. which are discounted. Thanks again for your review and we hope to see you back soon! -Algonkian Golf Management
Too slow. Need to enforce walkers and beginners to pick up the pace.

Golf Course needs work
I play golf in the DMV area and this golf course by far is in worst shape. Fairways are in bad shape and the ground is not very conducive for hitting shots; just grabs on u on every shot. Golf carts had spider webs and was not clean. Compared to other public course, this course is not worth the price.

Good
It is a beautiful golf course. Overall, it was so slow that it was frustrating, but it was generally good. But there were so many flies that it was so annoying.

Falls golf
Excellent condition, fairways to greens. Trees are changing color and the course is even better with a beautiful background. Watch for the dears while you drive in and out of the golf course.
