About
Bridges Golf Course is a municipal, 18-hole course that sits on the northeastern side of Madison, just south of the airport. It’s popular with locals since it’s both affordable and challenging. The layout starts out on low-lying wetlands and then on the back nine it climbs up a ridge along Anderson Avenue. For a championship golf course it’s not particularly long at 6,900 yards from the back tees, but golfers will still face several tricky holes. Players of all skill levels will enjoy Bridges Golf Course for its variety of risk-reward opportunities. It’s not terribly punishing though so beginners can approach it with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Bridges offers a practice facility that includes a driving range and two separate practice greens for chipping and putting.

Solid public course
Was in decent shape. Pretty tough course if you can’t find the fairway. A lot of water and tall grass areas to lose balls. It’s right next to an airport, so if you’re a golfer that needs silence while playing, this might not be the course for you. It didn’t bother us too much.
This course will challenge you.
My twosome played on a dry, but cool and windy day.
It is still early in our season and course had numerous areas of ground under repair. Which will improve conditions as the season goes onward.
Good course for the price
The Bridges is a good course. With rain, it does have a fair amount of puddling on the fairways. Greens are well maintained, tee boxes are solid, and the pace was great
No Starter
We were supposed to be joined by another two some. However they said they were going to join there friends for. Five some. They just went ahead and hit. After they hit I said we would hit now so we could be ahead of them. On second shot they went ahead and hit into us. Decided to move to next hole and it was backed up. Turned around and went to ask for a refund. The agreed. Poor management on the course
Better than expected
Bridges has a reputation for being a "cheap, trash" course. I was pleasantly surprised that it was better that I expected. The fairways and greens were in really good shape. Some of the tee boxes, particularly the par 3s were rough. I would maybe suggest some sand available to fix tee box divots. The bunkers were not in good shape. Hard and very course sand. Luckily I only ended up in one of them.
The cart path could use some work too.
Overall, I had a great time. It was a fun course!
Good value on golf now
I feel this course is over priced, however we got a great deal with golf now ,, $33.00 each for 18 and cart. Course was in better shape than years past. Bunkers are not maintained at all, just hard sand and weeds. We finished our round in 3 hours, 2 players would definitely go back at this price. However would not pay normal green fees for this course.
