About
Bridges Golf Course is a municipal, 18-hole course that sits on the northeastern side of Madison, just south of the airport. It’s popular with locals since it’s both affordable and challenging. The layout starts out on low-lying wetlands and then on the back nine it climbs up a ridge along Anderson Avenue. For a championship golf course it’s not particularly long at 6,900 yards from the back tees, but golfers will still face several tricky holes. Players of all skill levels will enjoy Bridges Golf Course for its variety of risk-reward opportunities. It’s not terribly punishing though so beginners can approach it with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Bridges offers a practice facility that includes a driving range and two separate practice greens for chipping and putting.

Bartender was the best! She provided beverages swiftly when starting the round. She provided lunch and was enthusiastic.
Rough shape
I’ve played this course many times. It was in the roughest shape I’ve ever seen it. I had been very dry, but….

I’ve played this course many times. About the worst shape I’ve ever seen it. The greens were good tho.
Nice course great value!
Course was in great shape. With golfnow hot deal it was a great value. I especially liked that there were no restrictions on where carts could go on fairways. I'd definitely play it again.
Challenging Course
Bridges is a very challenging course due to the hazards on both sides of every hole. Greens are in excellent shape. Staff was very friendly and happy!
Strong experience
Golfed an early morning round and was able to fly through the course. Great consideration of the groundskeeper staff as we played into their work areas as they toiled to maintain a fine track. Beverage cart hit us up first at 10am. Great 19th hole experience.
Great course!
Played here on a beautiful Wisconsin morning. I was a single so the starter gave me some early tee off options and I gladly took advantage. Got stuck behind some slower groups in the back 9 but overall it was a good time. Greens were forgiving but the fairways… let’s just say keep it between the rough because just outside of the rough is a lot of trouble. Use a 3 wood or hybrid if you’re battling a slice or big hook. At the end of it all I actually posted my best round ever!
Bridges
Bridges is a course where you must hit your irons well. Also ball placement is very crucial specially with the back 9. This is not a grip and rip kind of course you must play accurately.
