Bridges Golf Course
About
Bridges Golf Course is a municipal, 18-hole course that sits on the northeastern side of Madison, just south of the airport. It’s popular with locals since it’s both affordable and challenging. The layout starts out on low-lying wetlands and then on the back nine it climbs up a ridge along Anderson Avenue. For a championship golf course it’s not particularly long at 6,900 yards from the back tees, but golfers will still face several tricky holes. Players of all skill levels will enjoy Bridges Golf Course for its variety of risk-reward opportunities. It’s not terribly punishing though so beginners can approach it with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Bridges offers a practice facility that includes a driving range and two separate practice greens for chipping and putting.

Okay
They paired the 2 of us with another pair of guys. They were nice guys and golf now said we could be added to another pair. The course was busy. We were backed up behind other groups and there were 2 groups behind us backed up. It was a Friday but they were cramming as many golfers as possible. It was too much for my liking.
Hot with no beverage cart!
We played a hot Sunday afternoon after a outing and they had no beverage cart out there at all. It sucks because they had a lot of groups out there and it was slow so they could have made a lot of extra money.
Bad fairways & limited course markings
The fairways had lots of bare spots & grounds under repair. The sand traps were dirt. There are no course markings so that you know how far away a hazard is when you tee off. Example. Hole #10 has a ditch with water that runs through the fairway. There is no yardage provided to clear the hazard. There are many dog legs on the course, but the score card does not represent them well & there is no yardage provided to them.
Built in a marshy area near the airport, there is lots of water (and bridges over it). But surprisingly not too buggy (yet).
course in overall good shape
Lots of water.
Need to hit straight drives as most holes have water.
Nice local course.
Nice play. When it’s wet, it’s wet! But... they do stay open and let you play. Nice bar. Good course for being built on a marsh.
Cart path only, wet, walked, personal best round.
Lots of rain the night before and wouldn’t have been surprised if they were closed. It was cart path only so we decided to walk. I ended up having my best round, first time under 100 and shot 92.
You can’t get too far off the fairways or you’ll lose your ball. Otherwise the course is not too difficult and the turf is managed pretty good.
For me it’s a great in town option that’s pretty close to the house.
Great course
This course is well worth the money. 1st. Class. The course is in great condition. PLAY IT
Good course overall
Had fun playing. Very busy but Paske if play was good.
Not bad for a good deal
The front 9 plays a little tougher than the back - for me, at least. If my driver isn't working, I don't enjoy playing here (that's my fault). There are some low-lying areas that can make for wet fairways, even when you don't expect it, so be warned. You're close to the airport, so if you like low flying planes (we do), it's kinda cool - especially when they scramble the jets.
The course is usually in decent shape. A couple holes backtrack around water, so you'll become familiar with those features.
The staff are nice, and I like the electric carts. I like other courses more, but for a good deal, I come here often.
Bridge's golf
While the course was extremely wet because of hea vy rains it still was fun and challenging. The staff was great as well as the cocktails after our round ! A good value for the money in the Madison area
Great Experience
Great experience. The golf course was a little wet from all the bad weather but another week it should be perfect. The Staff is very friendly and helpful if you need anything. We will definitely go back.
Spring condition
Course is just coming off winter needs time and temperatures, great to get out and swing
