About
Blue Mash Golf Course is the Rockville area's premier public offering. This Arthur Hills design combines links-style, parkland, wooded, and water holes. With such an interesting variety, the course is enjoyable for golfers of all different tastes and skill levels. With no forced carries, it's even a manageable course for beginners and high handicappers, while more seasoned golfers will be challenged by the length from the back tees, the well protected elevated greens, and the plentiful strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes. The diverse mix of holes makes Blue Mash G.C. a true shotmaker's layout. In addition to the golf course, Blue Marsh is known for having one of the best practice facilities in all of Maryland. It features a 10,000-square-foot putting green, an all-grass-tee driving range, and a separate area for practicing your short game.

Nice course, greens a bit beaten up
I've been wanting to play Blue Mash for a while and have always heard good things. It was a very nice facility and the course was nicely maintained. Unfortunately, the greens were littered with spike marks and unfixed pitch marks. The most unfortunate thing is that players can control this by just being a little more careful and considerate. If the greens had been in better shape this would be a perfect rating
Slow play
Pace of play was extremely slow for a Monday. Course was in great shape other than some holes having construction. Greens were in good shape as well

Blue Trash
For the money charged not worth it. Most t-boxes divots disaster. Greens pock-marked with divots. Fairways ok some holes, chewed up others.
I’ve seen municipals in better shape. Not worth the $$$.

Played Blue Mash for the first time today. The course was in great condition, course staff were very friendly, cart lady was amazing. I highly recommend this course if you are looking for high quality golf.

Too stacked
It was a really nice course and I would likely go back but maybe during the week next time. We went on a Sunday and they really stacked up foursomes so we spent most of the time waiting on the people in front of us and the people behind us were playing up really close on our group. Really took away from the enjoyment of the game. So much so we didn’t even go out for the back half.

Good course, was slow this time
I normally really like Blue Mash -- layout, conditions, people, pace of play.
But this time it was terribly slow on the front and we actually had to re-play the front because the back was so jammed up. That's either over-booking or not enough marshals watching and moving people along.
They aerated ~8/22 but I knew that and greens were ok, as expected (7 out of 10) a week later.

Don't leave a club behind !! You'll never see it again!!
In the past year and a half I have lost/ had taken and not returned 2 clubs!! Year or so ago left a pitching wedge greenside-- didn't realize it for 4-5 holes, backtracked 5-6 holes asking and checked with clubhouse - never saw again. Same exact thing yesterday but an 8 iron this time. I've only lost and not recovered 3 clubs in my 30+ years of golf - 2 of them here within a year Like the course and staff but won't be back due to the seemingly classless dregs it seems to attract.

Will come back when the greens are all healed up
The greens were aerated so can't really comment on the course condition too much. We'll be back next month to see it in normal condition. Difficult but fair layout. Course management is key to scoring well.
Great conditions
A lot of play but very well maintained. Groups on every hole but pace was great. Outstanding.
Poorly Maintained
I was really disappointed today. The tee boxes and greens are some of the most poorly maintained I have experienced in my 25 years of golf.
We acknowledge that #18 white tee box is showing some wear, and a few greens in the woods have some extra ball marks and wear around the cups at times, but are otherwise a bit confused over the severity of this criticism, as most of the course seems to be in very good condition, especially considering it is the end of severe summer heat. Mismanaged
Possibly the most mismanaged course in the area. There's a problem every time I play. Slow play on weekends, lack of marshals, useless staff, or clueless managers, poor greens. Blue Mash can't seem to get it's act together.
