About
Blue Mash Golf Course is the Rockville area's premier public offering. This Arthur Hills design combines links-style, parkland, wooded, and water holes. With such an interesting variety, the course is enjoyable for golfers of all different tastes and skill levels. With no forced carries, it's even a manageable course for beginners and high handicappers, while more seasoned golfers will be challenged by the length from the back tees, the well protected elevated greens, and the plentiful strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes. The diverse mix of holes makes Blue Mash G.C. a true shotmaker's layout. In addition to the golf course, Blue Marsh is known for having one of the best practice facilities in all of Maryland. It features a 10,000-square-foot putting green, an all-grass-tee driving range, and a separate area for practicing your short game.

Poorly Maintained
I was really disappointed today. The tee boxes and greens are some of the most poorly maintained I have experienced in my 25 years of golf.
Mismanaged
Possibly the most mismanaged course in the area. There's a problem every time I play. Slow play on weekends, lack of marshals, useless staff, or clueless managers, poor greens. Blue Mash can't seem to get it's act together.

Good value
The greens were battered with ball marks that people don’t fix. Other than that, I enjoyed the course as always.

Professional staff. Great course layout.
Courteous, professional staff. Convenient practice facility. Challenging but fair course. Only suggestion is that cart path only rules for par 4s should only be applied when absolutely necessary to protect the fairways.

One of the best in the area!
I consider Blue Mash my home course even though I drive 45 mins to get here each time. I play this very often and is always in amazing condition.
The course, to the amenities to the club house are always great. Pace of play can be a little slower on weekend. If you are wanting to play your 18 on a weekend in 3.5hrs go get a membership at Chevy or Congressional.
If you want to play on an exceptional course at a fraction of the cost, be aware that other people too want to enjoy and as a result of its popularity you will be a little slower. It is more a compliment to how great the course is than a negative in my opinion.
Play it an see for yourselves and keep pace expectations lower than a private club!

Visiting from New Jersey ; if I lived in the area I would play this course a lot.. great layout , short par 4s - fun to play . Tee boxes , fairways and greens ( recently aerated ) I excellent condition. One of best courses I’ve played .

Great experience
A great experience of links golf. Course is in excellent condition and staff is superb. Play was slow due to a group ahead of us and they did everything possible to speed it up. Biggest thing was to acknowledge it through their on cart device and with a marshal. A must play and will play again.

Great condition, Great pace!
Really enjoyed playing at Blue Mash. The course is well maintained and the greens are in wonderful condition. We played on Saturday and were able to finish in a little over four hours. There were rangers on the course that helped us find balls and assisted us on a few holes. I play here regularly - pace of play is always great. I have already booked my spot for next weekend.

We acknowledge that #18 white tee box is showing some wear, and a few greens in the woods have some extra ball marks and wear around the cups at times, but are otherwise a bit confused over the severity of this criticism, as most of the course seems to be in very good condition, especially considering it is the end of severe summer heat.
