About
Blue Mash Golf Course is the Rockville area's premier public offering. This Arthur Hills design combines links-style, parkland, wooded, and water holes. With such an interesting variety, the course is enjoyable for golfers of all different tastes and skill levels. With no forced carries, it's even a manageable course for beginners and high handicappers, while more seasoned golfers will be challenged by the length from the back tees, the well protected elevated greens, and the plentiful strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes. The diverse mix of holes makes Blue Mash G.C. a true shotmaker's layout. In addition to the golf course, Blue Marsh is known for having one of the best practice facilities in all of Maryland. It features a 10,000-square-foot putting green, an all-grass-tee driving range, and a separate area for practicing your short game.

No warning that the greens were moonscapes
Blue Mash is always in great shape, usually one of the nicest in the DMV area. So I was unpleasantly surprised when I got to the course today and the greens had been recently punched and sanded. There was no warning when I booked on GolfNow that the greens were in this condition. They were not unplayable, but they were extremely bumpy, uneven, and sandy. I completely understand that greens need maintenance - I’d just like warning so that I can choose if it’s worth playing there with the greens in such terrible shape.
7min late. Told I can’t tee off
I was 7min late. Told me I couldn’t tee off for 2.5 hours. Short bald guy with a Napoleon complex in the pro shop.
Excellent course!
Nothing really negative ~ even the weather was great! I needed a right hand golf glove, but the shop didn’t have it. Disappointed but understood; the staff politely apologized for not stocking in the shop. We could finished the course in 4hrs; thanks to the marshal.

Blue Mash is a completely top notch relaxing course. Staff was outstanding. Very friendly. Course layout is great. The grill and bar with seating outside was very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Golfer friendly
This course is great for all level golfers. Very golfer friendly and forgiving but you can find trouble. Fun to play with fast greens. It's a gem!

Greens were pristine
Greens rolled true! Had a great round. The course was very accommodating and let me go out early as a single.
Best Course in Montgomery County
This is a players' course. It's challenging but not unfair. I loved this course. Not hilly but still has enough variety. At two places the cart path is too close to the fairway, but that's my ONLY criticism.

Course was beat up
Course looked beat up a bit. Fun to play but really beat up. I will try again
Thanks, coming out of winter when divots don't heal things can appear that way.
Excellent course with very nice practice facilities. The only negative comment I have is that the limitations for carts close to the greens are not marked. Instead the GPS on the cart blares at the golfer when you get too close to the green. In some cases that is over 130 yards out.
