About
Blue Mash Golf Course is the Rockville area's premier public offering. This Arthur Hills design combines links-style, parkland, wooded, and water holes. With such an interesting variety, the course is enjoyable for golfers of all different tastes and skill levels. With no forced carries, it's even a manageable course for beginners and high handicappers, while more seasoned golfers will be challenged by the length from the back tees, the well protected elevated greens, and the plentiful strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes. The diverse mix of holes makes Blue Mash G.C. a true shotmaker's layout. In addition to the golf course, Blue Marsh is known for having one of the best practice facilities in all of Maryland. It features a 10,000-square-foot putting green, an all-grass-tee driving range, and a separate area for practicing your short game.

Blue mash in great shape
Pace was bad but was due to frost and one slow foursome. They must have moved them a hole as it opened up later.
Love the all beef hot dogs and blue moon tap beer.
Greens and fairways in great shape for December. They’re putting in drainage on hole 16 which is always wet.

Value for Money
After 10 years of not playing at Blue Mash (I moved from MD to VA) I returned last week and am glad I did. First, if you are a senior (like I am), you get a discount on the green fees (mine was a $20 discount). Second, you get to play a great Arthur Hills design which was in great shape. Third, while they request that 2 people share a cart, they do not force it which is reassuring if you are paired with someone you don’t know. Fourth, very friendly pro shop staff and the young man who was starter that day could not have been more helpful. Needless to say, I will be playing there more often in 2021.
Conditions excellent, some staff and pace of play could use help
Couldn't ask for much more in terms of conditions for early November. Greens rolling pretty fast and true, fairways pretty good despite evidence of heavy play. Most bunkers playable too. Bat staff very friendly, helpful and fast. Only downsides were pace of play due to group immediately in front and a less than warm welcome in the pro shop in the a.m. Afternoon crew much better and very helpful in booking another time next week.
